I got a chat restriction because i got angry over players who LEFT RANKED games on my promo, AND I GET THE CHAT RESTRIOCTION, and they are fine literally had a guy in my game who was "if i die 1 more time i quit" and "i want to play ps4" and then helft on my promo, but naaaah i will get the ban because yaeh,fair play riot, really fair play
Zombiemaster5 votesYou are judged based on your behavior alone. It does not matter what others are doing/saying in chat, their actions do not excuse your own poor behavior. Also, punishments are not based on who was worse. Each player will be judged based on their own behavior and punished accordingly.
It's fine to get angry at players who leave games, but it's not fine to bring that anger into the game chat. Doing so does nothing to better the situation, and in fact really only makes it worse.
Now, if you want to have a discussion on whether you deserve the punishment with the community, would you mind posting the chat logs that you received?

1wolfpack1 votesI got a chat ban cause I cussed out a dude who afk for 10-15 mins. but my team-mates reported me because I said gg @ 20, since we were so far behind and I didnt want to waste anymore time than neccessary. even though I helped defend up until we had 1-2 inhibs down. then I went on my own and split push until we lost.
anyways moral of the story, I got chat restriction for cussing and Mr. AFK-er got no punishment at all sounds fair to me

Actual moral of the story: you got punished for consistent negative behavior across multiple games. Cussing by itself won't get you punished, but it will once you start directing it at others. Also, how do you know if the AFK person got punished? That is handled by a separate system called LeaverBuster. If you wish to discuss your punishment then make a new thread and then post your entire unedited Reform Card there.

I was trying to say my teammates werent mad about the cursing, they were mad that we lost and pointed the finger at me because I wasnt grouped for 100% of the non-laning phase.
and to be fair to them I didnt defend the enemy teams final push that lost us the game. however that game was a lost cause at that point.
but hey its all gravy now.

Since reports trigger a review of the account in question, it went through and found evidence of consistent negative behavior across multiple games, hence why you were punished. If your teammates weren't bothered by the cursing then that's fine, but I'm just letting you know why you received a CR.

Check your email/spam folder and the game client for them. The email has only one game, but the game client has up to three.
