I got a chat restriction because i got angry over players who LEFT RANKED games on my promo, AND I GET THE CHAT RESTRIOCTION, and they are fine literally had a guy in my game who was "if i die 1 more time i quit" and "i want to play ps4" and then helft on my promo, but naaaah i will get the ban because yaeh,fair play riot, really fair play
You are judged based on your behavior alone. It does not matter what others are doing/saying in chat, their actions do not excuse your own poor behavior. Also, punishments are not based on who was worse. Each player will be judged based on their own behavior and punished accordingly.
It's fine to get angry at players who leave games, but it's not fine to bring that anger into the game chat. Doing so does nothing to better the situation, and in fact really only makes it worse.
Now, if you want to have a discussion on whether you deserve the punishment with the community, would you mind posting the chat logs that you received?
so if he did get 14-day banned, then what?
you still lost your promo, you'd still be chat restricted.

I got a chat ban cause I cussed out a dude who afk for 10-15 mins. but my team-mates reported me because I said gg @ 20, since we were so far behind and I didnt want to waste anymore time than neccessary. even though I helped defend up until we had 1-2 inhibs down. then I went on my own and split push until we lost.
anyways moral of the story, I got chat restriction for cussing and Mr. AFK-er got no punishment at all sounds fair to me
