unfair ban ( i know i was a dick , but its still unfair)

so , galio and brand were premade in this match . they started flaming me right from the champ select cuz i wouldn't let him jungle. after the game started they started calling me a troll , and other shit. Now i know i flamed back , but i couldn't handle it. they were flaming me . i've been playing 20 games without an incident after i got chatbanned. but this is unfair , firstly because i got banned because they flamed me , secondly , this is just one match, shouldn't they wait 2-3 matches? i mean after i got banned , they only gave me the chat log of game 1. i lost it once because they flamed me , i would understand if they chat banned me , but this 2 week ban is unfair , it only brings me closer to a permaban , which i do not want. call me a dick (which is completely true in this case) but try to understand what it is like being flamed by your own team. Negativity and spam after you got chat restriction. It's not "was the 14 day ban was deserved?", it's "did you deserve the next punishment tier?"

You did deserve that one. Now stop that because the next tier is perma ban.

ffs , i admit i have anger management problems. but i was trying to change , and it was working cuz i had gone 15-20 games without a single shitty word after the chat ban. i lost it in one game . ONE GAME , where they flamed me. Riot should give people more time to reform , or atleast actually look into the case and understand why i did that. they were insulting me , all i did was fight back , and i get a ban for that? that's sheer nonsense. i even tried to be nice to them after they flamed me 'top need help?' 'warded' (Warded his bush cuz he asked me to!

No one knows that and only see someone who flames. If you need to get rid of your anger, use the 14 day ban and more to control that. Go see a doctor. You try to do this and not only are you feeding the troll to get them to report you, you also ruin the game for others who aren't even part of your altercation and giving THEM a reason to report you.

You and the troll aren't the only ones playing the game.

Yes. That's how it works. You mute them and then report them to avoid punishment.

Simpler way to put it: Mute, report (if you feel necessary), and move on.

If that's your problem, it's not on WE can solve, sadly. The solution is to stop fighting back, and if you can't manage that there isn't much we can suggest short of muting everyone at the start of the game. Don't spam their scores back at them even if they start it. Don't say they're useless, even if they call you worse. You have to work on your self control if you can't get yourself to ignore them.

This analogy kinda fits perfectly: Arguing with an idiot is like playing chess with a pidgeon. It'll just knock over all the pieces, shit on the board, and strut about like it's won anyway.

You won't win no matter what you do and you only make it worse by getting into a fight with them.

You rather start leveling your new account. Next ban - is perma ban and you most certainly will be provoked to flame at some point. I had a situation where 100% troll from get-go was doing intentional nonsense. After the game he instantly got punished for griefing but at the same time i got perma ban for telling him to stop being a retarded idiot.

They don't care. RIOT is looking for improper words and if there are any - you won't get exempt at any case even you was an amazing player otherwise.

ps. there is no democracy and there is no justice. There are only RIOT made rules so you either agree with it or you get banned.

You haven't seen what the other side said , and I know I m guilty, all I said is this punishment is too harsh considering I was only fighting back trolls. You don't know what it's like to go against premades. If one of them starts trolling you. All of them will.

You seem to be under the impression that there's only one guilty party in something like this. That's not the case. You're not being judged based on if you were better or worse than those in the match with you, but rather if you handled it worse than those of us who have been in similar positions in our own games.

Most people would have ignored them, responded in a more dignified manner, or muted them all together. That's the standard you're being held to. Making the game more miserable for everyone who wasn't flaming in the game with you (make no mistake, your bickering was annoying them too) isn't an acceptable option.

Ok tbh , galio and brand flamed , jinx joined , Syndra wasn't talking. I ruined no body's game , they ruined mine. And isn't that what's happening? Turns out I'm the only one guilty. Those 3 got off free. I just checked their match history , they're still playing. Others get 3 chances on their reform cards , I got one , that's my problem

You don't know if they got chat restrictions or not, you just know they weren't banned.

In general, the system cuts you some slack if you mildly flame and don't do it often (everyone loses their cool at some point, the system understands that). By your original post, you'd already gotten a chat restriction, probably two if you got banned for this game. They are likely getting their first or second chat restriction.

Everyone's judged by the exact same criteria. If they didn't get punished for that game then you wouldn't have gotten punished for that game if your behavior and history looked like theirs.

Defending yourself is using the mute button. It's a 100% perfect defense that those flaming you can not break. You didn't use it, instead opting to get involved in a conflict that you had all the tools to avoid.

You have no idea how many punishments the other person has had. This may be their 10 game chat restriction, it could be they won't get a punishment. Everyone's punishment is tracked separately.

Yes, actually. Past crimes are used to determine sentence. If it is someone's first offense, they are sentenced differently than someone with 5-6 past offenses.

Yeah, no, in my 816 hours playing league I have never had a premade be toxic...Are you serious? Do you think that you are the only person to play league and have trolls flame you? League is known for having one of the most toxic communities in gaming for a reason. We all deal with toxicity on a almost daily basis. Most of us, however, have been on the internet before and know that you don't feed the trolls. Use the mute button. If you can't see what they say you won't argue with them, simple as that.

Fine , I understand , but that's not why I wrote this in the first place. I admitted it was my fault. What I'm saying is , the punishment was too harsh , too quick and wrong

It was not to harsh. Plain and simple. Chat bans last up to 25 games, you said it took you less than that (only 20 games) after your ban to return to this sort of behavior. You knew another punishment meant a 14 day ban, you behaved in a way that you knew warranted punishment. As for to quick, what do you want? A grace period after your ban where you can't be banned again? That is the polar opposite of how it works! Post-ban you are under wayyyyyyy more scrutiny, and rightfully so. At the end of the day, if you aren't willing to mute people and you can't control yourself when people are mean, Riot doesn't want you playing their game. It may be hard to hear but it's the truth.

How do you not lose your shit when brand types /dance when you're killing Ashe at 500 HP and then you die. Besides , its people like you that annoy me. You worship riot with no sense of right or wrong. Riot doesn't want me playing their game but it's perfectly fine when a premade team flames you. Admit it , your justice system is broken and should either be deleted or replaced by something real and actually just.

Your statement is also false because even subscription style games or those that have a one-time payment system can, and will, ban you. World of WarCraft/Blizzard bans players for excessively toxic behavior---their punishment architecture is a bit more forgiving than some games in certain instances, but is zero tolerance regarding death threats and cheating (for instance).

I'm not a fan of the automated system for many reasons, however it does get the people that are foolish enough to use the trigger words and those excessively toxic in chat... such as yourself. So, in this case it seemed to work out pretty well.

You broke the rules, you know you did, I don't understand how it's even an argument on your part. I'd have at least a tiny bit of symapthy for you if you just admitted it. It's just odd how people are caught red-handed and then deny it on the forums.

Yeah well I didn't do death threats nor did I cheat. And I did admit I was a dick , can't you see that? I know I was wrong. All I'm saying is this punishment is too harsh because it was once , and it was because I was harassed. I know what I did , I admit my mistake , but I don't think I deserve this ban which puts me one step away from a permabanned.

Yes , in this case I'd mute them , but here's how it goes. Player x calls me a piece of shit , I ignore him. 2 mins later when I gank player x's bot lane , he refuses to help and me and his adc die.Player x blames me and for some reason so does the ADC because I happened to accidentally take the kill. Meanwhile player y who is premade with player x continues flaming . This ends up with the bot lane and top lane flaming me the whole , calling me unskilled , flaming in all chat , trying to steal my jungle , intentionally not helping me when it's an easy 2v1 kill . Now the last 2 things would piss me off. They banned me for ruining my teammates game . That's bullshit. They ruined mine and I don't mind if u look into the game , or their chats. You'll see they intentionally let me die , ruined my jungling.

See? Ultimately, you'll get your revenge, just play it out in game, don't respond to anything they say or do, if they take your jungle just play the game out. Yell at your momitor if you like, just don't type anything in response, report them with a DETAILED account of what they did in the post game and BOOM, they're banned.

Simple as that.

I understand it's hard when people intentionally feed or troll not to tell them what you think, but believe me, it's so satisfying to see those instant feedback reports on your screen.

I did get a lot of instant feedback reports after I shut up and started reporting as soon as I got my 25 chat ban. Almost 5-7 . I admit my mistake. I never said I'm innocent. I'm just saying I'm getting a death sentence for a robbery
