Competitive BSing is fine
"Competitive BSing is fine" - Literally a tip when entering a game.
They really need to stop this nonsense. I'm all for banning or restricting due to clear hate speech including racial slurs and threats, but you need to stop punishing for calling team mates out. Especially when it's in response to their own banter. Hardly anyone is "toxic" for no reason it's always a back and forth between multiple people.
The reviewers obviously don't have access to the entire chat log or to the ping log. This is one key.
If they did; they would see that usually responses are within the overall attitude of the game from all, or at least two, players on the team and not just one person. I swear you get restricted for the most benign stuff sometimes and other times you can banter with team mates and no one cares. People rage, then cool off after grey screen. Either stop baby sitting or make the system consistent.
Another key is expecting someone to objectively judge from a distance when removed entirely from the context of the moment and as above without the entire story.
If I subtlety trolled to lose every game, off stream of course, I'd never get banned because it's impossible to prove that I'm intentionally playing badly. If you yell at someone for trolling or respond to someones aggressive pinging you get chat restricted. It's an incredibly idiotic system that has done nothing but breed passive aggressive behavior like trolling, baiting in order to report, and duo reporting. That is the real problem with this system. It's created even worse behavior and an even worse psychological environment especially with baiting responses, getting a rise out of someone, and then reporting them in spite. I'm even guilty of this. It's actually really creepy 1984esque if you expand a flawed system like this to a "real life" community. Straight out of a post modern sociology nightmare.
