Really concerned and confused. Do I deserve to be banned for calmly defending myself?

I don't quite understand why I've just been 14-day banned for this. I was flamed viciously for underperforming when trying out Evelynn toplane, because I'd heard of a very successful Evelynn laner one-trick and wanted to try it. An ally banned my main from me (Zilean is in my name...) so I used the game as a chance to practice the solo lane Evelynn. It was really rough because I was laning versus Teemo, but I roamed and helped set up kills.

Anyway, I was banned after the game. I thought maybe a false intentional-feeding report banned me, since a couple of my allies were flaming me viciously, but it actually says I was banned for verbal abuse? Even though the chatlogs are just me defending myself, saying that we're playing at a Diamond level and they banned away their teammate's one-trick, and that I AM trying to win but I'm not Diamond level with any other champions yet, and to be patient with me.

In this last game, our allied midlaner's rune page bugged out and he couldn't adjust it, so he trollpicked Lucian mid with Exhaust to try to bait us into dodging to avoid the loss. No one dodged for him, so he fed lane and then just splitpush repeatedly while they killed him, all the while holding onto his exhaust and complaining about how he cant defend midlane as Lucian. Even though he chose Lucian mid. I asked him to please stop trolling/afking and push his lane or anything to help us. Maybe I was punished for this?

At this point, I get flamed for playing Zilean toplane while being critical of the midlane ADC pick. I was not bragging about my winrate, it's just the defense I have to give to avoid being flamed or having allies AFK from the start when they think "oh we dont have a legit toplane champion we lose."

Even if those final comments weren't super 'positive', discussing the meta-state of a pick isn't bannable. Imagine if, in the deciding, final game of your next Promotional series, an ally locked in Blitzcrank AD carry. Do you think that saying, "Blitzcrank is not an actual ADC, please stop trolling us. It has a 25% winrate," would mean that you should be banned immediately after the game? It's just an opinion, not flame...

Please help me resolve this...I'd really like to be back on my account...if I'm not allowed to speak at all, then I won't, but this doesn't feel right...
