So basically I was perm banned for telling griefers and one of my friends whom i duo with every day (or used to) to fuck off because they were trolling me in game. It wasn't serious and I literally said "fuck off, you're feeding and i'm not". Then the next game I didn't even tell anyone that. I got into an argument with the jungler because he thought the game was my fault and then he said "i dont like you" the only thing I said back was "i dont care". So Riot perm banned me for this. Does anyone actually think telling someone to fuck off is PERM bannable?

So the context is. First game was pretty much me arguing with the jungler because he was trying to blame me for us losing when I think I was only defending myself and trying to say what happened. I didn't flame him or anything (also some of this is in all chat @ the irelia on the other team because we were singing lyrics to a song at some point and 1v1ing top). The second game the fuck off was at my duo because he tried to steal my blue buff level one as support to troll me. I think that deserves a fuck off for him trolling me. Now the only "bad" part is me saying "im afk, bye" I did NOT afk. I went back to my jungle and kept farming. I did NOT afk. I just said it and I was never going to afk. I just don't do that. That's the only part I think is "bad". But the first game is because the jungle didn't like me and at the end of the game everyone got mad at bard for purposely throwing the game.

Alright so me defending myself and getting mad at my team mates isn't okay but someone calling me a cancer patient and telling me to kill myself doesn't get a perm ban. Seems logical to me. It's not like I did or said anything threatening a person. Just kind of crazy that people do and say this all the time but on a much worse level and they're still playing on their accounts. I call someone a degenerate once and I get perm. The second game I just had too much of people honestly. When people are purposely trolling in your game it can drive you a little crazy

Defending yourself implies that you're protecting something through your actions, you didn't, you retaliated.

This isn't a zero-sum game. Both parties can be in the wrong and punished. You were likely in poor standing with the system due to previous punishments so your next punishment for poor behavior was a permanent one.

First off, their behavior definitely isn't okay, and was likely punished -- the notification doesn't always go out. If it wasn't QUITE punished then you've put a big black mark on their record that will get them hit sooner rather than later.

Secondly, blame-placing and insults aren't a defense. "I'm doing decently, actually" followed by muting them is. At no point does it have to become "I'm doing better than YOU are" or anything of the sort -- that's needlessly counterattacking.

I call someone a degenerate once and I get perm.

If you were fresh off a 14-day ban you're on your LAST chance. It's not calling someone a degenerate once -- it's having a history of poor behavior and then, after your last chance, behaving like this.

I'm saying that both can get you banned, yes.

The latter will just get you banned sooner.

Basically, the system isn't designed to save the worst punishments for the worst behavior. ANY player who shows they are creating a bad play environment with their chat is subject to punishments and a potential ban, because Riot does not want players who do that as part of their community.

So ANY level of toxicity, without showing reform, can earn the strictest punishment.

The catch is simply that more toxic behavior earns it sooner (often an immediate 14-day ban and the corresponding final chance on the first offense), while other behavior takes longer, has more chances, etc. When you're at the 14-day ban point, however, you're on your last chance -- so yes, any insulting behavior, no matter what kind, can get you punished. You had your chances to improve your behavior, and the last chance doesn't give you "well, it was bad, but it wasn't THAT bad" leeway.

I'm just trying to say that what I said is something I see on a normal basis, I see people I play with, streamers, pro players, etc say this type of stuff. Nothing happens. I wasn't racist, I wasn't homophobic, sexist, threatening anyone, I didn't afk, run it down, or troll.

It is less is it perm bannable and more is it punishable.

If it is punishable, then you follow the next step in punishments, which after a 14 day ban is a perm.

So me defending myself in game because i'm being blamed, such as i'm doing towards you right now, is punishable? Also mind you that the first time I was "punished" I didn't get a chat restriction or anything and it was the exact same reasons except this I feel like was not even close to severe.

Except you weren't defending yourself. You were retaliating. Defending yourself in game is muting them and playing your game.

On the forums we are expected to have a discussion because we aren't taking away from a game. Now, if you started goin say, "Fuck off, you are wrong. Stupid loser." You are no longer have a discussion or "defending" yourself from my statements and the comment quoted would probably be removed.

If you skipped to a 14 day ban without chat restrictions, you may have triggered zero tolerance prior. Zero tolerance can include but not limited to: Hate speech, and encouraging self harm.

Alright well i get what I said was wrong and uncalled for. I honestly get that it wasn't okay, I just wanted to know if it's really that harsh considering some of the stuff I said I've encountered. Now is there any way to some how get unbanned? I've been playing on a new account and haven't been flaming. I'm honestly trying to not be toxic anymore. I do mute people now like you said I should've done to begin with. Is there any redeeming myself and getting my account back?

Sadly no, if an account was not banned in error, it is to remain banned. No exceptions.
