A Modest Proposal that Snake Plissken approves

Players who have a history of going afk, raging, or feeding should be placed in a separate pool for ranked play. My last few ranked games were lost because of intentional feeding. The players even posted in chat that they were going to feed. The best predictor of the future is the past. These players ruin LOL and will continue to behave in this way unless there is motivation not to. Riot currently rewards players for honors, it's time to place players with these negative histories where they can't ruin it for others. I don't play the game for blue essence and skins, I play to have fun. These people in the real world would be alone on the play ground because they would be avoided and excluded because of their actions. Riot please do something to protect good players who don't flame, who don't use profanity, who dont go afk, who don't intentionally feed. When you inform me that I receive x% more honors than average I am glad, but when I am on a team with these types of payers I am sickened and don't want to play your game. Let them play in a league who,s culture, who's norm Is toxicity. It's your biggest challenge, I know, but you're smart and capable.

Riot does not believe in (nor does any psychologist) a “Prisoner’s Island” scenario as you describe being an effective tool for reform and rehabilitation.

Simply put, if you force a player who’s had one, or even a couple slip ups into a queue where all they see is toxic behaviors, they’re never going to improve their own behavior. Whereas, if you simply give them a punishment, 80-90% of players do reform and never get another punishment (and this statistic holds true for every level of punishment in League).

As rujitra said, Riot isn't even gonna consider a Prisoner's Island approach, as detailed in their Ask Riot article - Banished to Prisoner's Island.

Here's the short version;

Prisoner’s island design doesn’t work for League for two major reasons:

Reason One: We believe in a real shot at reform for unsportsmanlike players

Reason Two: Prisoner’s island is a truly awful experience for the “prisoners” in more ways than one

I'm not speaking about punishment nor a prisoners island. I am positing that since Riot sorts by points (wins in ranked) they should also do so with honor. In life we get to pick who we hang out and associate with. Separate those who have honor from those who behave without honor.
