How to look up banned reason (was told to post it here)

Hello everyone!

I just posted this in the Help&Support section but I was told to put it here (Though I don't fully understand why since my questions doesn't have much to do with player behavior & Moderation .. but here it goes then :) )

I was banned permanently a few days back which came quite out of no where for me. The message in-game said that I should look at my e-mail for the reason but I had not recieved any e-mail concerning the ban (3 days later now still no e-mail). I tried to log-in on the website and it said my account credentials were wrong so I asked for a password reset, that got sent to my e-mail and I was able to change my password but when I tried to log-in to the website it again said that my credentials were wrong.

To my knowledge I haven't done anything bad, deffinitly not perma banable worthy (though I cede that every banned person ever says that so I know that doesn't mean much) and I've never had a punishment other then the 5 minute cooldown for leaving a game lobby. I would just really like to know why I was banned so I can make sense of what happend. Is there a way to find out the reason why I was banned other then looking at the e-mail (that I did not recieve)? I have looked in my spam box and it was also not there.

I've always enjoyed playing league so I'd hate to just lose my main account like this without even knowing why.

I hope someone can help me out and thank you in advance for any effort to help :)

I doubt anyone on board can help you with that. Your best bet would be to try sending ticket to riot support https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/requests/new and asking them why you got permabanned. If you did nothing nothing wrong and it was a mistake on their part they will also unban you so don't worry too much but remember that perma bans are not given out of blue.

Main reason people are getting permaban is flaming but if you did not do it then there are very few other things that come to mind like account sharing,botting or something related to payment etc. GL though I hope you get unbanned if you are really innocent :P

Thank you very much for your reply! I was hoping there was somewhere where you could look into ban reasons or where you could let Riot resend the e-mail, but I guess that is not the case.

As far as I know I have not done anything punishable. I've had the account for 6 or 7 years now and I even had a ribbon a few months ago. I believe in positivity and I always try to help other players as best I can and to just have a fun time. As far as botting and sharing goes, I've never dabbled with any of that.

I have already made a ticket so I guess I'll just wait for a reply on that, though since I couldn't log-in to the account the only category it really fitted in was 'I need help recovering my account' and since I didn't know the ban reason I just gave as much information I could and I hope that will be enough.

I just hope it get's resolved or I at least get some closure as to what happend. Thanks again for your reply! ^^

Keep in mind if you were in-fact banned for account sharing then it IS un-bannable, as only YOU are responsible for your account. However if your account was stolen it's a different matter.

Thank you for your reply! As far as I know however, nobody has been on my account and nobody knows my password. I play on both my laptop on my computer but I don't think that should be a problem?

The only theory I can think of is that, maybe there has been a key-logger on either my laptop or computer and someone has been using my account that way? But surely they would just change the password and e-mail then.

The only way I might have shared my account is a few years back in uni where I let someone play on my account to try the game out, but I was sitting next to that person helping him.

Thank you for the effort of trying to figure out what is going on anyway! ^^

There should be a date you were banned till when you log in, that is actually a code that tells us what you were banned for. So if you can post the year, we'll be able to know what happened.

If it doesn't contain a year, then it means you were banned manually and the only way is to wait for support to reply to the ticket. Keep in mind they don't work in the weekends (which 2/3 days was the weekend) and they operate in PST.

Also don't keep replying to your ticket, as that bumps you to the back of the queue.

http://i.imgur.com/QJjRgnR.png This is the only pop-up I get when I try to log-in or should the date you mentioned show up in a different place on the screen? Also as I said, concerning the e-mail, I haven't recieved the e-mail in my inbox, nor in my spam box.

I haven't replied to the ticket I made but when I admitted the ticket it did say that they were very busy so it was going to take a while before someone could answer it. That's why I made this thread, hoping there was at least a way to figure out the reason of my ban. Also the 'it's going to take a while' got me a little scared it was going to take a few weeks of being in the total dark of what was going on.

I guess I'll just have to wait for the reply to the ticket and hope that it will be resolved or that I at least have more information so I can give it some closure. :)

Based on the permanent suspension message and a lack of an email from Riot, I'm going to guess that your account was suspended as part of a manual review, but I can't be 100% confident of that. Your ticket should be able to provide you a reason and context regarding your suspension, so just hang tight and be sure not to bump your ticket.

I guess I will just wait it out then, hope that I get a reply relativly quickly and hope that it was a mistake that can be resolved. It's shitty to be in the dark like this but I guess there is nothing I can do at this point.
