Behaviour of the community
The community in LoL is considered one of the most "Toxic". Has anyone even thought about a possible reason? When i think of it.. there are 2 that come to mind.
1 it's more that people have no backbone anymore. This is not entirely our/their fault. This is just global society in 2015. BUT IT'S A BIG ISSUE IN THIS GAME. For example... Back in the day when you did something wrong and your dad gave you a bitchslap, you cried and tuffened up.. Now.. If your dad hits you or even tries to hit you, he gets sue'ed. Back in the day when your coach yelled at you and put you on the bench for playing bad you just listened and became a man. Now.. You either quit your sport or go to court and sue the coach for being an emotionless, non fitting person flaming younger kids so he'd lose his job.
Back in the day when a guy flamed you, you just punched him in the face.. Now.. When you see "noob" or "unskilled" you report a person. That's just pathetic.
This is what i mean, the society nowadays is like one big pampered family.. that cries when they don't get what they want.. and do everything to get what they want.
I'm not making this thread to promote flaming.. Ofc flaming is bad, unnecessary and childish. I'm just saying that when a guy says "noob", "unskilled" "stfu" and etc that you should man up and ignore it.. THESE WORDS ARE NOT EVEN SLIGHTLY CONSIDERED CURSEWORDS unless some braindead company agrees that they are.. HHmm? CSGO is for instance another big game where these words mean nothing and honestly, i could keep going on about games where it dosn't matter.
When you see ppl saying "cancer" or any kind of hurtful things, pls do report this.. cuz this is the moment when a player is not thinking anymore.. this is just brainless shittalk to another person and it should be punished.
ALSO, take into consideration that not everyone is trying to be offensive when using a curseword. I myself am pretty passive-agressive and i won't deny that i use offensive language at times. It's not that i want to, it's basically me being impulsive about a situation that occurred but couldve been prevented if ppl or myself listened. I am old enough and should be able to restrain myself but i am this kind of person for 28 years now and i just can't change like that. I wont tell you that you 'should get cancer' or "die irl".. but i will mention your flaws and missplays if you don't realise them yourself. You'll never get better if you can't take any type of criticism. I want ppl to tell me what i did wrong so i can get better.. how else do i get better if i don't even notice my own mistakes and someone else just did?
The reporting system is good, and necessary but imo it's also getting abused by the kind of ppl that i mentioned up above " ppl with no backbone".
This makes me come to the second point..
2 Criticism.. Back in they day when your teacher told you to work harder, you just ignored it.. laughed in her face but in the end you did listen. Now.. when a teacher tells you to work harder, you ignore it.. take it to the principal and tell him/her that she's bullying you.
Back in the day when your coach said you had to work on using both your feet.. you went home and trained and trained day after day.. Now.. you just don't give a shit unless you actually have some selfrespect. which is pretty uncommon :D
If i notice you make a mistake, you should be alerted.. thats what makes you better. getting info about what went wrong. Ofc if he noticed his own missplay just shut up and let it go. he knows, thats all there is too it. This is the next abuse in the report system.. Acoording to RIOT, you should NOT be notified cuz it protects pampered, spineless ppl to accept criticism and make them better in any way. when someone actually mentions your mistakes he's 'tilting'.. so if he sees the words "oh my f'ing god' thats the moment he'll press the button.. EVEN if that guy actually notified him, or carried him.. that imo is ridiculous. I'm not saying ppl that carry should be able to use such words.. but it should be taken in consideration that it's not his first language and thus uses whatever comes to mind. may it or may it not be some kind of offensive word.
the TLDR.. read it all.. Kappa Keepo
