I'm confused...

I've recently been handed a 2 week suspension with no prior punishments towards my account since its creation. Why? The suspension was based off 1 bad game in which I had only insulted the player twice with only 1 word. Not only that, but I was never toxic in the past with my account, hence why I was not given prior punishments. I had reached out to player support and they had refused to shorten/change my punishment which was what I had requested they reconsidered. Why was I given a straight 2 week suspension from 1 bad game in which I had only spoken 2 words of insult? Not only that, but my ranked rewards have been taken away...Why? I've spent a month non stop grinding to get to gold and you strip my rewards away at Silver 1...That just feels like a kick to the nuts...200 hours in 3 weeks just wasted because of 1 bad game in which I had only used 1 word of insult twice. I know I'm repeating that point a lot, but I honestly cannot understand how absurd that is. That I'm instantly put to the second worse phase of punishment from 1 bad game in which I uttered 1 word of insult twice. I don't understand...

I am not claiming my chat log wasn't toxic even if a little, but I had only insulted the Garen once directly and was not toxic toward my team, to add on to that, I really do not thing this warrens a straight 2 week suspension.

I have no clue either, you don't deserve a two week ban (/sarcasm)

Now fun and games aside. Do you know what's next? It's a permanent suspension and it's going to take a lot less for you to get one.

So what I suggest you do is be positive, even when someone is flaming you, just mute them right away because even a little toxicity from this point on will get you banned for good.

yeah, it's because it was hate speech. just be really careful in the following months after your 2 week ban. generally from what I've read and gathered, it's quite easy to go from 2 week ban to perma ban, with just one or two offenses triggering it. Unlike, say chat restrictions where you kind of have to develop a pattern and what not.

If you will post your chat logs from the Reform Card, we would be happy to look them over and give you an idea of why it may have escalated you up to the 14 day suspension.

There are certain things that fall under the Zero Tolerance policy of Riot. Generally speaking things like racism, homophobic slurs and telling people to harm themselves. If you use any of those things you will instantly be punished with a 14 day ban. But we can tell you more if you post us your chatlogs.

Chat logs?

Usually you go through a 'punishment ladder'

Permaban 14 day ban 25 game chat restrict 10 game chat restrict

You start at the bottom and go up. Most people get a chat restriction, maybe two, before reforming and never getting punished again.

However you don't always have to follow this ladder, excessive toxicity (such as telling people to commit self harm) or hatespeech (homophobic/racist slurs) can get you to an instant 14-day ban.

Remember, the next punishment you'll get is a permaban, and even the slightest and mildest amount of toxicity will trigger it. After a while you, you will descent the ladder again, and go one step down. You will have to play many many games untill it goes all the way down and you're considered reformed.

Also note that this punishment means losing out of the end of season rewards (border, icon and skin).
