I've recently been handed a 2 week suspension with no prior punishments towards my account since its creation. Why? The suspension was based off 1 bad game in which I had only insulted the player twice with only 1 word. Not only that, but I was never toxic in the past with my account, hence why I was not given prior punishments. I had reached out to player support and they had refused to shorten/change my punishment which was what I had requested they reconsidered. Why was I given a straight 2 week suspension from 1 bad game in which I had only spoken 2 words of insult? Not only that, but my ranked rewards have been taken away...Why? I've spent a month non stop grinding to get to gold and you strip my rewards away at Silver 1...That just feels like a kick to the nuts...200 hours in 3 weeks just wasted because of 1 bad game in which I had only used 1 word of insult twice. I know I'm repeating that point a lot, but I honestly cannot understand how absurd that is. That I'm instantly put to the second worse phase of punishment from 1 bad game in which I uttered 1 word of insult twice. I don't understand...

I am not claiming my chat log wasn't toxic even if a little, but I had only insulted the Garen once directly and was not toxic toward my team, to add on to that, I really do not thing this warrens a straight 2 week suspension.

I have no clue either, you don't deserve a two week ban (/sarcasm)

Now fun and games aside. Do you know what's next? It's a permanent suspension and it's going to take a lot less for you to get one.

So what I suggest you do is be positive, even when someone is flaming you, just mute them right away because even a little toxicity from this point on will get you banned for good.

yeah, it's because it was hate speech. just be really careful in the following months after your 2 week ban. generally from what I've read and gathered, it's quite easy to go from 2 week ban to perma ban, with just one or two offenses triggering it. Unlike, say chat restrictions where you kind of have to develop a pattern and what not.

Ouch. Sadly, the hate speech is why it was escalated up directly to a 14 day suspension, and why Support would not consider changing it. While there are people who seem to get away with saying these types of slurs without ever being punished, what is most likely happening, is that they are not being reported for them. The Instant Feedback System automatically punishes for any sort of slur, and it is usually either a 14 day suspension or a permaban depending on how many times it is used.

There are certain things that fall under the Zero Tolerance policy of Riot. Generally speaking things like racism, homophobic slurs and telling people to harm themselves. If you use any of those things you will instantly be punished with a 14 day ban. But we can tell you more if you post us your chatlogs.

I understand that but I have seen people using the "%%%%%%" more times than I have in a more insulting way, not implying what I have said was any better, but it was diffidently not worse yet those players are yet to get a single punishment

Usually you go through a 'punishment ladder'

Permaban 14 day ban 25 game chat restrict 10 game chat restrict

You start at the bottom and go up. Most people get a chat restriction, maybe two, before reforming and never getting punished again.

However you don't always have to follow this ladder, excessive toxicity (such as telling people to commit self harm) or hatespeech (homophobic/racist slurs) can get you to an instant 14-day ban.

Remember, the next punishment you'll get is a permaban, and even the slightest and mildest amount of toxicity will trigger it. After a while you, you will descent the ladder again, and go one step down. You will have to play many many games untill it goes all the way down and you're considered reformed.

Also note that this punishment means losing out of the end of season rewards (border, icon and skin).

I used "%%%got" once as a direct insult, personally seeing others that have used "%%%%%%" more than I have, I didn't assume that it had that much of an impact...

It really does. Riot has a 0 tolerance policy on this kind of stuff, so there you have. That's the reason for your 14 day ban.

So me having 1 bad game saying 1 bad word discredits what I have done for the entire season even though I haven't been toxic in the past...That's even worse than a kick to the nuts...

You don't get a cookie for not being toxic. You get rewarded with key fragments for being honorable.

So no, you aren't discredited. You've just already gotten your rewards for being honorable (if you have been honorable that is).

But your rewards for progress is being discredited if that's what you mean, sorry :/

I was honour level 4, and as I have stated before, I was not toxic whatsoever prior to this punishment, I am however, not concerned about honour rewards, I was referring to ranked rewards.

And yes, you don't get the rewards because you were toxic. It doesn't matter if you've been clean all year, it doens't change the outcome. That's just not how it works. You still flamed, and you have to face the consequences.

I still don't understand the system. What does my ranked rewards, which I achieve by being a good enough player to get to the rank for the rewards, have to do with me being the slightest bit unsportsmanlike. I understand honour being brought down to 0 and removing the rewards I get from certain honour levels, but why ranked rewards. That's like saying your neighbour is being an inconsiderate neighbour and keeping you up every night, you take him to court, and the court announces that your neighbour will be kept under close watch with privileges taken away from them, and on top of that, they take his car away. What does his car, which he had to save up for, have anything to do with bad behaviour.

In a world where you get rewards for being a good driver, he crashes his car into a pedestrian, and the judge takes his car away.

That's it? The judge only takes his car away? That's way more lenient that what I've got even if it is metaphorical. Not only did they not take his license to drive, or fine with money or jail time for crashing and injuring a pedestrian, they only took his car away? That's nothing seeing that he could probably just get a new car.

Ok, I messed up that metaphor:

This is a magical world. You get a reward for driving nicely, that's all they ask. Someone hits a pedestrian, and is sentenced to 6 months of no driving. He also gets his car taken away.

Now 6 months later, said person gets no rewards. He didn't drive nicely. He hadn't done anything previously, but he hit a pedestrian, and as such he gets hit rewards taken away.

In the same way, Riot doesn't ask much of you. You get rewards for playing nicely, but not playing nicely even once mean losing out on those rewards temporarily. You are still eligible for next years reward.

If you're going to make such a blunt and general statement without any knowledge about the situation, I don't think your opinion has any effect.

IIRC, the system doesn't detect the context behind the words, similar to how calling your own premade the f-word would equal to insulting the whole team.

Let me give you some context My team mate called me out on using my emote after getting a kill and told me not to do it, I asked why and he said it was bm, so i responded "Yea ik, but he's been a %%%got all game". I was running to a lane where 3 minion waves were gathered and a team mate had rushed there before me, so I responded with "fuck off". This was friendly banter, not a toxic call, because after that, he spammed me with "xD". As I stated above, Our MF got got twice and started to lose hope, saying things like "Looks like this is going to be a throw" and "I don't know if we can win this earlier". This made my team a bit salty towards her, I ended the argument by requesting "then don't say shit like "lookin like a throw". Our Blitz was focusing more on trying to hook the back lines that was heavily guarded by being out of position, so I told him "I'll peel MF, Blitz just HOOK anyone that isn't Garen". It was starting to look like a bad fight since we were getting poked down and we could not engage unless Blitz had landed a hook, so I said "LITERALLY ANYONE". I might have came off a bit aggressive, but it was not toxic. There was no flame in what I had said toward the Blitz, and this was the first time I had said anything to him. My teammates were planning on a baron call to bait them, and seeing the score board and gold difference, I said "We're winning this game no matter what". We got an ace, and got baron, I said "end" and we ended. I was so tilted at Garen for targeting me all game I typed "Fuck you garen, suck me DRRRRRRRRRRRY" That may have been the slightest bit toxic, but not anything bannable. I was not toxic toward my team mate, maybe the enemy Garen, but not nearly as toxic as someone who tells him "he wishes cancer on ones mother and that he would fuck her and his dog irl", and only gets a 10 game chat restriction.

What matters is still you calling Riven the f-word & also insulting Garen with that last text. You can't overturn your 14 days suspension with these being presented as evidence.

I suggest you dial down your toxicity if you want to keep your account away from being permabanned.

First of all, yes it does, since you are providing a false statement with no bases, I corrected you, it may not matter to you because you don't know how arguments work, but if anyone were to read this further on, they won't be as ignorant as you were.

Secondly, I am the Riven.

Thirdly, I have not seen a single person get any punishment by just saying "Fuck" to anyone on any team, so that is not a reliable evidence to judge ones toxicity. League is not a religious game, nor a game for kids, so I see now reason why saying fuck less than 5 times a game would be considered toxic, especially when 80% of those "Fuck" were not used as an insult.

Lastly, I don't think you understand what "No prior punishments" and "Level 4 honour" means, If you're going to be so ignorant towards something you "claim" to have knowledge on by contributing to it, I suggest you just leave.

We've seen Honor 5's being punished before, so this is nothing surprising.

Plus, as I have said it MULTIPLE TIMES, the system does not check for context, and another way of you getting reported is by being** reported by teammates or enemy team, as you have been causing inconvenience to either team.** This can be the logical explanation.

If you're really persistent in this, you can submit a ticket to Riot Support & ask for their opinion.

Small fyi, you are not the first person who got punished like this, as this is why me & other lots know a lot more background about the punishment system than you do.

I didn't say having an honour level excuses me from punishment, nor have I implied it. Your statement of "You should dial down on toxicity" is what made me bring honour levels up. The fact that I have the highest honour level means I haven't been toxic like your statement would imply. 1 unlucky game that tilted me hard got me in this mess, not my constant toxicity that I had to dial down. You may know lots about the system in place, I don't doubt that, what I do doubt, is your ability to understand whats written by a human and not a robot.

I have also said that the %%%% words acts like a booster, which can cause you to skip a few punishment tiers & land you straight to suspension. So when you said you're Honor 5 but you got punished for saying those %%%% words, this is still working as intended. Being Honor 5 doesn't mean giving you free protection from punishments.

Its not "bad game" if you use hate speech. You shouldnt concern yourself with rewards. Since you used hate speech your account is on verge of being perma banned. You should worry about that

It was a bad game because of how tired and angry I was, bad game might be different by your definition, but when I say I had a bad game, it either means I did badly, I couldn't do much to contribute to my team or I just didn't know what to do against an ally that's intentionally throwing the game. Don't tell me what to be concerned about, my prioritise are different from yours, furthermore, you are not in my position.

You are just ignoring what everyone is telling u. You used hate speech (homophobic slur starting with F). Riot often instantly perma ban for that. There is no excuse for that. You were lucky its just 14 days, it could have easily been perma. There is 0 tolerance for that.
