Ez was getting binded by morgana, not using W or trying to poke a rather open support/adc. Blaming minions of course. Not to say my performance was any better, but as a support i'm supposed to tank the damage. Being alistar also means a couple of bindings is next to nothing. I just noticed that Ez was not using any advantages he had, and on my side I was completely disadvantaged. Morana shield countering CC etc.

If "wtf" is an offense then R.G. has no clue what their real community is like. Was trying to give a nudge to Udyr to pick up his jungling game. One/Two drakes is worth more than a couple of ganks. Udyr was on the other team so really I was just being a friendly opponent.

Someone tried to be clever by saying "You just answered your own question", which I did not. Ahri used her communication methods to talk about Alistar, when her intent was quite likely to direct her message to the player using Alistar. I asked a question (it was unanswered, of course) and continued on with a brief explanation of Alistar's broken history in the League of Legends. By the way, Alistar had close to a 100% ban rate in (x) tournament(s).

I decided to shift the conversation into a friendly one, even though our team was getting pummeled. Asked what kind of role I should consider. Two players in chat told me a variety of: "Shut up" and "Uninstall". Of course I sent back a retaliation message. Bullies get away with bullying because of those choosing not to fight back. "Oh that 1% beating up the 99%, it's too bad those 99% were taught not to fight back! :( "

This line alone pretty much guarantees a punishment. You should consider yourself lucky you weren't bumped up to a 14 day suspension. Hate speech is one of the few things that you can do to skip punishment tiers.

Also, don't try to explain your actions. It doesn't matter what they were doing. You are fully responsible for what you do regardless of context.

The thing you need to look at is not from your suggested definition of any given work. There is no doubt in my mind, or the mind of anyone else that you didn't intend to call someone a bundle of sticks. Nor are we convinced that you called someone a maggot. The question from this point here after is not WHY you said what you did, but wholly WHAT you said. No one cares what a word previously means, using a word that TODAY is considered hate speech, or derogatory will get you punished.

That is the issue you are trying to gloss over, you used a word that has obvious connotation in today's society. The point you need to understand is that if you use words like that, YOU WILL GET PUNISHED. For example if i called you a Mother F%%%%%, i cannot say "Oh, well i mean that you have consensual sex with your wife who is a mother of a child". That phrase also has obvious negative connotation, its used in a very negative attitude. Again, you CANNOT redefine a word to suit your defense as long as it helps your case, no one will actually believe that you mean anything other that what people currently use to define any given word.

Defending your case by calling your insult ambiguous or trying to say that you did not define your use of the word in the original message is not a defense, see the above paragraph. People see words that you use for their common definition, this INCLUDES the slang interpretation of that word, ESPECIALLY if it is the generally accepted definition of the word.

Archaic definitions are considered obsolete for your own defense as well, for example when you call someone "Gay", you are not intending to call them happy. You intend to imply, whether directly or indirectly that they are a homosexual. The only time you can attempt to use the defense that you are calling them by a definition other that the one that is the generally accepted term is when you have OBVIOUS lead up to your reveal of the use of that word. It also usually requires you to explain the intention of the word, and is GENERALLY used in terms of jokes. You were NOT saying what you said in any joking manner, nor did you have any implication that you meant anything other that what everyone assumed you meant.

Accept your punishment, censor your speech (no one likes being insulted). Stop trying to defend yourself with attempts to make your use of any given word invalid.

Or they are used as derogatory terms for a specific group of people. That is the definition of hate speech............

I am legitimately surprised you only got a 10 game restriction. Hopefully it'll be more in the future since you appear to be unrepentant.
