14 day suspension and Hard MMR

How does getting temp banned affect hard MMR? So I got banned (deservedly, but in the words of the great Tyler1 bad kids are bad and need to know that they're bad) after managing to get Plat 2 and plat 2 mmr in the Pre-season. Is this progress going to be erased, unaffected or is it just going to take a hit (meaning instead of p2 mmr will it drop to maybe p5 mmr as opposed to going all the way down to that of a fresh accounts mmr)?.

Punishments have no influence on mmr afaik. Except ofcourse permabans ;).

As far as I've seen, it has no impact on your MMR. They keep the two systems separate for a number of reasons, one of them being an avoidance of a "prisoner's island" situation where all toxic players keep getting paired against each other.

I've had a recent losing streak in a large part due to incompetent teammates, so I sympathize with your frustration that lead to your two-week ban, but Tyler's philosophy is that of a manchild with arrested emotional development. Your bad teammates either know they're bad or will refuse to acknowledge it, and in both cases, accosting them via chat in the middle of a game will accomplish nothing. It's one thing to point out a mistake in the hopes that it won't be repeated, but scoring argument points off your teammates just doesn't matter, at the end of the day.

Your preseason MMR plays very little into your new season MMR. Your new MMR this season will be based on how you ended the last season and your 10 placements mostly.

same soft reset as everyone else gets at the beginning of the season

It affected my rankings, but.... ive been perma banned for years now. For real though, as advice i wouldn't follow Tyler1, youll miss your account when it's gone permanently. RIOT does not believe in reforming the permabanned account once permabanned FYI.
