Long story short, i played against a teemo and got banned for verbal abuse for 14 days, ending on December 6th. Obviously this dropped me from Honor 5 to 0, and since then I've "unlocked" honor and honor rewards. But all I've unlocked is literally the lock on my honor level image. like the literal lock. I get honor from my non pre made teammates regularly, and do not flame anymore. I've had zero punishments and zero reports since being unbanned, so why am I still level 0? Am i missing something? Am i locked in Dishonorable hell?

Note: I don't really understand the new honor system, or old one for that matter. I just know if people honor you it's good.

IDK but honor may be reset when s8 starts

You don't get back to honorable in just a few days. You must prove that you're on your way to be back as a honorable player. For a long period of time you have to show an exemplary behavior.

You actually have to be sportsmanlike .. or at the very least not unsportsmanlike, to progress through the system.

Based on this quote, I imagine you may be having a similar case.

I just know if people honor you it's good.

According to Tantram's post in another discussion, that is not all that is needed. To progress you need to not show unsportsmanlike behavior. Even if you are getting honored, if you are showing negativity, though not negative enough to be punished, your progress through the honor system can halt until you begin showing sportsmanship.
