[THE BANNING SYSTEM IS BROKEN AND I HAVE A SOLUTION] (NOT APPEALING MY BAN AT ALL)

League of Legends is rated T for TEEN which NEEDS to mean that anyword that you find in PG-13 movies you could find in this game.

I believe that we should follow the rated T guideline if anything b/c the current system is broken as bitch (in the rated T Guideline)

If you have any suggestions or just like my idea to have behavior base on rated T guidelines and not based on anything negative please help out. Thanks!

League of Legends the Game is rated T for it's game content. However, it specifically states that online interactions are not rated by the ESRB. Therefore your example of language use does not apply to its T rating due to that fact.

"Online Interactions Not Rated by the ESRB" - Warns those who intend to play the game online about possible exposure to chat (text, audio, video) or other types of user-generated content (e.g., maps, skins) that have not been considered in the ESRB rating assignment.

The game content (characters, environment, voice lines, etc) are rated T for Teen, but the online interactions never have a rating. Which is why a lot of games always have that disclaimer of "Online Interactions not Rated by the ESRB".

This also applies to the Instant Feedback system. It does not judge behavior based on the ESRB rating for Teen. That is irrelevant. It judges behavior based on what you violated from the Summoner's Code based on report feedback. Mostly this is due to behaviors such as in-game taunting; harassment, offensive remarks, intentionally feeding, etc.

The ESRB rating has nothing to do with how the Instant Feedback system works, nor should it since language and human interaction are ever-evolving and impossible to give a precise "Rating".

Wow thats actually right i didn't know that thanks for the leaving a comment. My problem with the system is how vauge it is stating how anything negative is an infraction obviously that is WAY to vague that is my problem with the system.

What do you mean by vague? Most things are explained in the Summoner's Code and on the Riot FAQ page regarding Instant Feedback and banning. I'd be happy to explain further if anything about the system or the Summoner's code confuses you though.

What i would like to get from riot is more detail on what they don't want said after scrolling through the summoners code the only think it restricts is almost everything that is related with negativity ex no negative feedback, no negative relationship building etc. Like i said before technically calling someone a "poop face" is negative. I would just want riot to expand more on what they consider negative. thanks! (Im trying to learn flaws in my argument so i can make a stronger argument and solution)

Unfortunately, it must be vague for it to function.

If it were specific, anything not mentioned would be considered okay (even if it breaks the spirit of the rule). And there are far too many ways to be a jerk to list them all out specifically.

Thats a very good point i didn't think of at all. Maybe if riot were to just explain more what is considered negative ex how far is negative?

Riot have said that basically any form of harassment towards other players or actions that create a negative experience should not be tolerated. They have also said that swearing is not the issue, it is when it gets directed at other players.

Negative Experience: AFK, Intentional Feeding, Assisting Opposing Team, (Trolling Teammates - Stealing lane, cs, camps, Spamming Pings, Refusing to work with your team.

Toxic Chat: Any form of harassment through chat directed towards another player. Racist or Sexist comments. Death threats. Requesting Reports. Extensive complaining, belittling, or disparaging remarks.

With the current system Anything that is considered negative breaks the summoners code, with enough report from that game if his friend said "ur a poop face" he would have received punishment

Calling someone a poop face may be considered negative and count against you. However, the standard for receiving a punishment is higher than "say 1 thing even remotely negative ever" so that would not, on its own, get you punished.

Punishments come from the sum total of your negative behavior crossing certain thresholds, not just any minor infraction.

Correct almost the system counts reports from other players that have a "viable" reason in this case calling someone a poop face is considered "viable" so you can be banned for calling people "poop face" (in multiple games yes)

No one is arguing that it can't get you banned, just that saying it once won't. Think of the punishment system as a bucket over your head. Every negative thing puts some amount of water in that bucket. Call someone a poop face, 1 drop. Call someone an idiot, 1 splash. Hate speech, 1 bucket full. When the bucket fills up, it tips over and dumps a punishment on your head.

Because he's laying a trap, and you don't have to feed the trolls. Negative chat will lead to more negativity in the actual game. I don't agree that I'm not supposed to talk back if someone is trash talking people in the chat, because it does matter who started and you can see it in the chat, not like it's 2 kids fighting outside with no proof of who started, but hey, these are the rules. If you want to play game X, you follow the rules of game X, or pick game Y.

I understand where your coming from thank you for commenting my problem with it is the fact that the only think you are told to not do is be negative in any way shape or form i would like riot to be more in depth on what they expect. Anything more thank don't be negative. Sorry i know the post is VERY disorganized maybe that helps clear how im thinking (which might be 100% wrong)
