Please review the replay's and/or chat to see if someone truly did something wrong and not just applying a consequence because 2 or 3 people reported...they all can be friends...please watch the replays and view comments rather than just clicking the apply punishment button because 2 or 3 people reported in the game....
Their system is automated. If you were punished, you should have been provided with chat logs when you tried to log in to show the behavior you were punished for. It's not actual people looking at it. When someone reports you (all it takes is one report to get the system to look at the game... extra reports don't do anything), the system goes through the chat log. If you say things the system recognizes as toxic, negative, offensive or the like, it automatically punishes you. That's just how it works.
Long story short: If you are considering typing in chat to say anything that isn't positive, just don't. Then you won't be punished. Because the automated system won't be able to find anything.
Riots system is not broken if it sees that you're saying some bad stuff it catches you down run away from your mistakes, take it like a man.
