@RIOT What is being done about toxicity on the ladder?

WARNING: PROFANITY (in the quote below) " cuz ur low elo get shit on trash cans stop being garbage and maining illaoi and youll climb out of the land of garbage use your mothers brah to hang yourself kys fucking useless peices of shit :/ " end quote.

This was the response I got when I asked why there were so many players giving up and AFKing after the first two minutes of the game. This is in no way unusual to see at this point, but I was still shocked at the unrestrained aggression from these players, considering they were on the enemy team that was gifted a 14-minute win when both my jungler and ADC afk'd. I really hate to see the game take such a negative direction after so many years of playing it. Obviously, I reported this player, but he/she is a drop in the ocean of plat-rated keyboard warriors. Even if every player like this I come across is banned from my report on them at the end of the game, the result is impossible to see.

So riot, I ask you: how are you moderating player behavior, and how can the rest of us see the results? Tribunal is gone, so players have no direct control over how the rest of the community behaves. I trust you as a company concerned for the growth of your game to make the right decisions, but how can we tell if you're making decisions (about these players) at all?

The automated system bans them or chat restricts them if they get reported. Trust me.

I'm getting so upset over this kind of stuff. I play ranked and I am in bronze (definitely my fault, I need to improve). But 2 of every 5 games I play has a person AFK for long enough to shift the game, or go so far as intentionally feeding. Almost all of my games end up with someone berating someone else. I don't know how I am supposed to make it to the higher levels where people will at least agree to play out the game without AFKing or inting

I don't know why you even want Riot to coddle you. Just mute and move on. Do you really want Riot in all your conversations with the threat of censorship? Just be an adult so you stop forcing them to be overbearing even in situations where it's not appropriate.
