14 Day ban for this?

League of Legends Match History

I've played this game since beta and I have never seen a team as toxic and bullying as the last team I had. They all banded together to report me and even got some of the enemy team in on it because they thought it was funny. I now have a 14 day ban on my account for comms from one game. I've never been banned before. Does an actual human review these reports or is it automated? If it is indeed automated I just found a flaw in the system; if people band together to troll you they can get you banned even if the reports are false and you did nothing banworthy. Is this justice?

Here's everything I said during the game. There was no other games I was reported for, just this one. It doesn't show any of their chat either, suffice to say it was bad enough I had to mute them all just to play. I did not troll either. A link to the game results is attached to prove it. If anyone at Riot can look at this i'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

Seems fairly unlikely you'd go straight to 14-day ban from this chat. Were you chat restricted (I doubt it considering how much you typed)?

They can band together all they want. Even if they 9x reported you, if you say nothing to them and mute them so you don't gave to listen to them, you cannot be punished.

Yet you chose to respond to flame with your own toxic flame. This is less the flaw in the system and more the flaw in your "fight or flight" decision.

While some of my responses were questionable, I agree, the other team were all literally spamming me with belligerent toxicity, cursing, and far worse than anything I said. Still, I tried to be cordial. A person can only take so much abuse though. I think how long I kept my cool and tried to be cordial in that situation was pretty good actually. And I did mute them all, the rest of the chat is from 'all chat' with the enemy team. And the final statement about me dying less was in response to someone mentioning feeding. I was simply pointing out they shouldn't report me for that because I died the least on my team, I wasn't feeding. It was a statement of fact, not accusatory. I tried really hard to just get through this game and I think I did pretty good. Was I perfect? No. Can I improve? Sure. But a 14 day ban for this? Really? When in far too many games I see waaaay worse with people flaming and threatening real life harm, cursing, etc?

My question is honestly less about the ban itself (though I would appreciate that being looked at or even lifted) and more how the punishment works. Once upon a time we had the tribunal where each report was looked at by actual people. The community has gotten so large now though I don't think that's possible, there has to be automation. I'm just curious if actual people are looking at this making these decisions and if so, if they have all the information from the game to make just and fair decisions. If not, and especially if it's 100% automated, then toxic players with mob mentality are empowered to jump on the proverbial bandwagon and all report someone and suspend their account for any reason they feel like. How is that fair or just?

Have you received a chat restriction before this ban? The 14-day ban is the first actual ban from the account after chat restrictions.

You start getting pretty nasty at around here. Afterwards you spend most of chat complaining about your teammates refusing to switch with you and insulting them with chat such as, calling them "close minded toxic bonzies", claiming that they were trolling, calling them idiots.

Although you said you muted them, you continued to complain about their behavior and their actions in chat. Why? You muted them, that's it. You shouldn't be talking with them anymore nor should you be talking about them. You also indirectly insulted them at the end by saying that you, "died way less than my team".

First, I will say that while these chat logs aren't extreme, I do believe they show you exhibiting unacceptable behavior. You are constantly flaming your teammates throughout, calling them toxic and trolls, largely for not listening/following your strategy of lane swapping. While a lane swap may have been beneficial, them not wanting to follow through with it does not immediately make them trolls. Also, I understand that your teammates may have been harassing you in chat, and that is not acceptable, but it does not give you the right to start flaming them back. A large portion of this chat is unacceptable behavior.

As a side note, the reason Riot only shows your chat and not the other players' is because you are only judged for your behavior, not anyone else's.

I know you said that you haven't been banned, but have you had any chat restrictions prior to this? Chat restrictions and bans are two different things, so I'm just asking this to make sure. Punishments are given out in tiers, which are as follows:

1.) 10 game chat restriction 2.) 25 game chat restriction 3.) 14 day ban 4.) Permanent ban

So if you have had the 25 game chat restriction recently, then unfortunately for you the 14 day ban is the next step, and in my opinion these chat logs are toxic enough to push you to the next step. Also, something to keep in mind is that your reform card does not necessarily show every game that contribute to your punishment, so even if you only see this one game, it's possible that you were reported in other game.

Now, if you haven't any any chat restrictions prior to this, then I recommend contacting Player Support. It's possible to skip punishment tiers, but that's typically only done when zero-tolerance behavior is shown, and none of that is shown here. So either you were given the incorrect punishment, or you were punishment for things you said in pre/post game chat, which unfortunately cannot be shown in the reform cards. Either way, contacting Player Support should help resolve the issue.

The system is indeed automated, you're supposed flaw isn't correct. For one, the number of people that report you in a single game does not matter. Reports alone simply trigger a review of that game, and it only takes a single report to trigger the review. Any additional reports really don't do anything extra. This means that people can't simply mass report someone and instantly get them banned. Also, if you truly did nothing punish worthy, then you won't be punished. The problem here is that some players disagree with what is punish worthy. I pointed out earlier for what the system punished you in these chat logs, though I can go a bit more in-depth if you want.

I have been chat restricted before. Not sure what you mean by omitted chat. I can't get the chat from the other players if that's what you mean.

U were toxic typing so much??? How just how??? U were just as toxic also asking for reports is very toxic i usually report the person asking for us to report thier team bcuz its annoying and most times no one cares that ur team is flaming u we CANNOT SEE IT!! Even if u were being trolled stop typing insta mute and sadly accept ur loss and move along thats de way....stop typing cuz if u think u wernt toxic ur flaming the ever living hell out of ur team
