why is it so easy to report people?

You should have to go to a totally different area to report somebody instead of simply clicking report after a game. If somebody was truly so toxic to you that you just can not handle this player in League of Legends anymore than you should have to go through some sort of process to punish that player. Not just simply spam pressing report after every game because somebody cursed at you and your feelings are hurt. if it was truly so offensive than you should not mind having to spend a little time actually reporting players that are extremely toxic.
Side note: I have been pressing report to every person that cusses in my games the past 4-5 days and i have already gotten the a player has been punished message 5 times now I think. And i have recently learned that the message only goes to the people who were involved in the most recent round of reports leading to the punishment, so think about how many more might also have been punished with my reports. Anyways none of these players truly deserved punishments. They just said some cuss words or were slightly toxic. I just wanted to see for myself how simple it was to get players punished under this reporting system. I have also been reporting AFKs and people who troll (intentionally feeding, one guy fed bot lane then followed me around jg) No messages back on any of these players. God forbid they say Fuck though. System is a joke

Your Point : To prove that people can get reported for anything, I will report people for anything.

Oh wow, you reported a toxic player and he got banned. Wooooow, the system is really garbage. Btw. you don't need to report AFK's, that's what the leaverbuster is for. And that's why you don't get a message if you report AFK people.

And I only go this message twice since the new system. I don't believe you. (funny, that always perma banned players come up with this story. In the German boards too lol*[slayer-pantheon-popcorn]* )

I kind of like this idea, make it a link to a website that makes you do more than tick a box. So many people report others due to anger or losing that reporting loses its meaning. This could make reports more meaningful.

So what do you have in mind? Dont say they need to be a better way to put in reports and then leave no actual improvement to the current system. I feel like the way we can report someone works well. You click what offenses they have shown in the game, and usually leave a detailed information in the comment box so that the person who reads these reports can look for specific details in that game much faster.

Also you seem to forget that one type of punishment is easier to find than the other. Of course you would get better results from report people who are toxic in chat, than someone who is feeding, or trolling because chat is easier to detect and deal with than someone who may or may not be trolling. Let alone that you arent always going to get the message. only when you are that person to trigger it. So possibly the person who was trolling was just having one very bad game. They wont get ban because it could just be a one off thing. Whereas the person who was toxic in chat could have been doing it all day/week and your report was the final nail in the coffin!

i agree, the report system is so broken. doesn't work. and sometimes even punishes good behavior players

If you can't beat them, join them.

I've just learned to report pretty much everyone for any instance of what people might label "toxic".

You are right man, but, you didn't point out the right reasons. They made it easy to report others so that they can vent after a game. Doesn't mater if the report is legit or not. the button is there to help you vent and deal with that a frustrating game you just had:). I know that this means that reports from us should not be trusted. Because they are influenced by that particular game.That's why they have a system in place. I'm not saying it's bad or good. But this system that it's in place it's automated and bans people regarding on how much they talk in-game..(chat restriction and 14 day ban- perma bans are given by humans- to my understanding).

When it comes to player behaviour it trully believe that a human should deal with them:)
