Apparently Riot is now handing out 14 day bans for 1 game of toxicity. There was a guy in my game that was obviously trolling (in ranked, not normal), so i call him out but go overboard on the response and receive a 14 day ban for it. 1 game of toxicity for 14 days of ban? Riot employee behavior is at an all time low. There is no accountability or attempt to create a fair competitive gaming experience in ranked. People that troll but don't type out the exact words "I AM TROLLING LOL" dont get punished and laugh their way to the bank. Oh well, not my problem Riot has experienced a huge decrease in players over the last couple months. They are digging their own grave with over punishing players for 1 game of bad behavior while allowing others to continuously affect others gaming experience as long as they dont say anything negative. Such a crock of shit

"Every player deserves respect" --- this only applies to verbal. Non verbal actions mean absolutely nothing.

Are you... actually serious? You're questioning how that's not enough to deserve a 14-day ban instantly? You should consider yourself luckier that's not a permanent.

So basically, you had ADC who wasnt very skilled on that role and was trying to improve by playing it. And you started abusing him for it and calling him troll, and telling him that he belongs in a mental asylum? Newsflash dumbass, picking role you arent very good with isnt troll, its a way to improve on that role. Also if u looked at his match history, he has many good games as Ezreal and ADC. So he either had: Bad game, Bad support, Better opponent. None of those thins make him a troll. So yes, you deserve ban as your toxic behavior was uncalled for. Your first lines of thread were "obviously trolling". Guy didnt troll at all that game.

This type of behavior is unacceptable in this community. When there is nothing good to say, don't say anything at all. As a community, we also don't believe that retaliation is an appropriate response, so in cases where there is retaliation, both players receive penalties. This is the only warning this account will receive. Further examples of toxic behavior can result in permanent closure of your account.

100% not a lie, and the email proves it by stating "here are some chat logs". I stand by that this game was toxic, given the circumstances it was extremely obvious he was trolling in a ranked game. Regardless, the point isnt to condemn exactly how bad my behavior was this game, but to point out that riot can and will ban you for 14 days with no previous history and 1 total toxic game on record.

You should note the keyword in that quote..."some".

The logs they send you are just an example of the behavior that got you banned. Not a comprehensive list of everything you have done. The fact that you only got 1 log does not mean that your punishment was only a result of that 1 game.

There is no key word in that sentence, they are all relevant. The point of "logs" implies multiple, and that they only sent 1 shows that they only had 1 game to use. Cherry picking specific words to have them mean what you want is not the correct way to approach situations like this. In the case that you are right, then Riot is just using misleading verbiage that easily could be more clear if they used more precise words.

I still stand by the notion that 1 game got me a 14 day ban, which is unprofessional even for companies like EA sports. This is not a good slope for riot to be sliding down. Regardless, at least it wasn't a permaban for 1 game, so I will be careful in 100% of my games in the future, and not just 99%.

It is not what I want it to mean. It is what it actually means. They are sending you "some" examples, that is how the system works. I do agree the wording could be better though. You could be minorly toxic in 50 games and its going to send you 1-3 games. No matter how many games your punishment was the result of. I am not saying that you weren't punished for only one game. Just that the fact that you only got 1 log does not automatically mean that.

1 game of retaliating is enough to garner a 14 day ban? My actions were uncalled for that game, I admit. Its easy to see I went overboard from the chat log alone. The circumstances made me very angry and without game play I cannot prove or disprove anything to anyone not in the game regarding the other players actions. That isnt the point though. I've never heard of someone getting a 14 day ban for 1 game of toxicity, and personally find it ridiculous that it is allowed to be that way. My actions that game were uncalled for, but inconsistent with the player I am.

If you were calling people slurs, threatening to kill them in real life, rape them or their mothers/fathers, or pretty much a lot of ludicrous things, then you're going to get nipped in the bud real quick.

You should probably reassess your reaction to the game and keep it in perspective.

Even if someone is trolling or just being a jackashe, Just stop and think about what you should say. I get it people's emotions get the best of them and we say mean things because something just sparks the fire. I'm guilty of that too, but the problem is that you may have said something out of line. To be reported and banned means that you were charged guilty of breaking the summoners code. It's something that Riot is putting there foot down on. They feel the need to enforce their rules with no exception! Which I support! GOOD FOR THEM! At the end of the day you are being punished for refusing to abide by these rules. :/

Just and fyi having people say "LOL IM TROLLING/INTENTIONALLY FEEDING" isn't enough to get then banned. screen capped some idiot who did exactly that and sent it into riot. All i got back was the "we will look into it" email. 2 weeks later you can check his history and see that he is still just intentionally feeding in ranked every day.
