Apparently Riot is now handing out 14 day bans for 1 game of toxicity. There was a guy in my game that was obviously trolling (in ranked, not normal), so i call him out but go overboard on the response and receive a 14 day ban for it. 1 game of toxicity for 14 days of ban? Riot employee behavior is at an all time low. There is no accountability or attempt to create a fair competitive gaming experience in ranked. People that troll but don't type out the exact words "I AM TROLLING LOL" dont get punished and laugh their way to the bank. Oh well, not my problem Riot has experienced a huge decrease in players over the last couple months. They are digging their own grave with over punishing players for 1 game of bad behavior while allowing others to continuously affect others gaming experience as long as they dont say anything negative. Such a crock of shit

"Every player deserves respect" --- this only applies to verbal. Non verbal actions mean absolutely nothing.

Are you... actually serious? You're questioning how that's not enough to deserve a 14-day ban instantly? You should consider yourself luckier that's not a permanent.

So basically, you had ADC who wasnt very skilled on that role and was trying to improve by playing it. And you started abusing him for it and calling him troll, and telling him that he belongs in a mental asylum? Newsflash dumbass, picking role you arent very good with isnt troll, its a way to improve on that role. Also if u looked at his match history, he has many good games as Ezreal and ADC. So he either had: Bad game, Bad support, Better opponent. None of those thins make him a troll. So yes, you deserve ban as your toxic behavior was uncalled for. Your first lines of thread were "obviously trolling". Guy didnt troll at all that game.

1 game of retaliating is enough to garner a 14 day ban? My actions were uncalled for that game, I admit. Its easy to see I went overboard from the chat log alone. The circumstances made me very angry and without game play I cannot prove or disprove anything to anyone not in the game regarding the other players actions. That isnt the point though. I've never heard of someone getting a 14 day ban for 1 game of toxicity, and personally find it ridiculous that it is allowed to be that way. My actions that game were uncalled for, but inconsistent with the player I am.

Close. What Riot is doing is handing out 14 day bans to people who they have had to intervene with twice before but still have not gotten the message yet.

Even if someone is trolling or just being a jackashe, Just stop and think about what you should say. I get it people's emotions get the best of them and we say mean things because something just sparks the fire. I'm guilty of that too, but the problem is that you may have said something out of line. To be reported and banned means that you were charged guilty of breaking the summoners code. It's something that Riot is putting there foot down on. They feel the need to enforce their rules with no exception! Which I support! GOOD FOR THEM! At the end of the day you are being punished for refusing to abide by these rules. :/

Just and fyi having people say "LOL IM TROLLING/INTENTIONALLY FEEDING" isn't enough to get then banned. screen capped some idiot who did exactly that and sent it into riot. All i got back was the "we will look into it" email. 2 weeks later you can check his history and see that he is still just intentionally feeding in ranked every day.

This type of behavior is unacceptable in this community. When there is nothing good to say, don't say anything at all. As a community, we also don't believe that retaliation is an appropriate response, so in cases where there is retaliation, both players receive penalties. 100% not a lie, and the email proves it by stating "here are some chat logs". I stand by that this game was toxic, given the circumstances it was extremely obvious he was trolling in a ranked game. Regardless, the point isnt to condemn exactly how bad my behavior was this game, but to point out that riot can and will ban you for 14 days with no previous history and 1 total toxic game on record.
