Punishable When a Premade Group of 5 Forfeits?

I've seen groups of 5 people that queue together and FF together at 20 minutes. Is this punishable?

um, no? I mean, even if it was, they'd have to report each other, but if they are all agreeing to the surrender, then that sounds like they are all together on whatever plan it is

If they want to end the game, so long as they all agree, they're allowed to utilize a surrender to do such.

It's called "lawfully evil." They follow the rules while ruining your day. This is why it's a problem.

I didn't realize that a premade group of five surrendering despite having a strong lead ruins people's days.

Here's the thing; not everybody is going to be pleased by something, and Surrenders are one of those things that not everyone is gonna be pleased by the outcome of. But, the point of Surrenders isn't to please everyone, it's to let whichever team that's doing the Surrendering leave the game on acceptable terms.

While primarily that's meant as a safety valve for players on the losing side, there's no reason a winning team can't just call it a win while taking an L. It clearly doesn't hurt their pride to do so, and at most it would leave the once-losing team confused.

And besides, I've seen people get pointlessly mad when a team that knows they're losing Surrenders. But, how mad they get is irrelevant, as the Surrendering team voluntarily chose to Surrender and accept defeat.

If you think it's a problem that players are allowed to issue a unanimous/majority vote to Surrender a match, talk to Riot about it, but don't act like it's a genuine issue that's just being glossed over because it's obeying the rules. It's not an issue.

I don't mind if someone thinks "it's not over, we can still salvage this shit and pull a win out of the hat," and refuses to surrender. Hell, I admire that mindset. What I would mind is when I have my enemies at my knees when the premade teammates decide to surrender, forcing a loss I do not deserve.

You do realize that the OP specifically mentions a premade group of five surrendering - and they later added that the premade enemy team surrendered despite a large lead, right?

I fail to see how your personal gripes about the Surrender system relate to the OP's curiosity over an enemy team surrendering when ahead.

Bit of a weird answer there: It depends on the reason.

What I know for sure is that Riot doesn't like when people intentionally screw with the ranking system, so intentionally dropping your MMR is not allowed, even though that's most likely not covered by the IFS and will require a manual review.

I also remember some time ago people got banned for exploiting some kind of event that had a fairly high reward for every game, regardless of how long it lasted or who won (really don't remember the specifics) by immediately declaring to the enemy team that they would open mid every single game.

Generally: If there are no ulterior motives behind the FF it's probably fine. If there are, it's likely going to be a case-by-case decision made by Riot after a manual review.

Uhhh... no. It's not a crime to give up, especially when 5 people agreed to it. People have their own reason for giving up in game. Maybe they're not enjoying it, maybe something came up, or maybe they simply didn't want to play.

If every one agrees to it, no.

If it was a premade of 4 and they forced the solo guy to ff even when winning by a margin, then it is punishable.

Oh, there are cases posted here before with the 4man forced ff causing a 14-day ban for trolling.

Keep in mind that a random solo guy in a 5 man premade game is still considered part of the premade.
