Enemy Team won't end, my team won't forfeit for 20 minutes in an ARAM.

Is there anything that can be done about this? We would have 3 people agree to forfeit over and over but two refused. The opposing team was at our Nexus at minute 15 and sat there not ending the game for another 20. They would just sit outside our fountain and people felt like they had to continue trying or they could get reported for afking or something. Around minute 30 I started just running past the opposing team and hitting their towers. I took down their inner tower and inhibitor by myself while the enemy team faffed around. Their Garen literally walked around me while I destroyed their inner tower and took their inhibitor doing nothing. Then we killed 4 of them around the 35 minute mark and ended the game during their respawn timer.

It wasn't fun. It wasn't enjoyable. It wasn't close. Be it team comp or player ability they were in complete control of the game basically the entire time, and then three of us were trapped in a game we didn't want to be in for 20 minutes. It was an ARAM and up until we lost our two Nexus turrets and they could have ended I was fine with fighting a losing fight, but after that it's absurd that I'm forced to stay in a game that is over just because the opposing team wants to BM and farm kills and two people on my team won't forfeit.

35 mins huh? I've had a few 35+ min games, none of which were "not fun" some games we had double aces where both teams were dead multiple times. I actually find long Aram games quite fun.

Ok, the issue wasn't that the game was long. The issue was it was no contest. The opposing team literally sat just outside our fountain letting our Teemo and Draven beat on them for 10 seconds or more before trying to fountain dive and sometimes succeeding at getting kills while fountain diving. If they hadn't been killing themselves to our fountain we never would have gotten far enough out of our base to keep the super minions off the Nexus but they did.

I'd suggest learning how to enjoy the experience. The enemy team made asses out of themselves and you won the game. Enjoy.

Sooooo you're complaining about a game in which you won? [zombie-brand-mindblown]

Imagine you're playing a game of chess. You happen to play against someone vastly better than you, or you have a bad day or whatever and you get crushed down to the point that you have lost almost all of your pieces and they have lost almost none of theirs. Finally they have you in a position where they only need to move one piece to checkmate you, but instead they move another piece and put you in check. You're obliged to move your king out of the check so you do. They check you again. And again. And again. You move to knock your king over but someone else grabs your hand and says you aren't allowed to forfeit or leave and that you have to play the game out. For the next 20 minutes they repeatedly put you into check without ever mating, every now and then letting you take a few pieces. Eventually still with a massive advantage they let you checkmate them.

Woo you won?

You just compared League to chess.. You need a better analogy. League is not turn based. You can turn a game around in the blink of an eye. Anything can happen. I understand the point you're trying to make, but how is the sheer ignorance of the other team not amusing?

What does being turn based have to do with anything? Any one of them could have taken 10 seconds to end the game at their leisure. We spent as much time at our fountain hitting enemies that were sitting still not fighting back as we did out of our fountain. They weren't ignorant of what they were doing. They didn't care about winning. It was an ARAM.

Lol... (the silliness of what was typed in response to Hassohappa's post makes me wonder how humans manage to survive this long).

The issue is not that game lasted 35 minutes... The issue is not whether they won or lost the match... The issue is not the analogy and how chess is a different game than league...

The issue (aside from the grade school responses we had to endure just now) is how toxic opponents and two ignorant teammates can hold you hostage. Now I cannot fault the two teammates that wanted to keep playing (as annoying as that is); however, the behavior of the enemy team is denounce-able. The other team is clearly superior to you, but instead of just ending, they prolong it as a means to taunt you, humiliate you and waste your time. There is literally no other explanation for this behavior, which is a form of trolling. Instead of letting you take your lose and go to another game, they force you to stay in that state of losing until they decide to just stand aside and give you a pity win. I, like most people over the maturity level of a 10 year old, would rather take a loss and play another legit game.

Now that the simpler folk have had information spoon fed to them; let me address your question with my opinion. The answer is: nope. RIOT will tell you to just report them using the reporting tool. However, the reports go to the Automatic Disciplinary System. One report to an automated system that tries to pick up on keywords, stats and item builds is not going to detect a team extending the game needlessly for shits and giggles. They can get away with it without any repercussions (which is why the system is utter garbage).

The best thing you can do (which you have done) is make some noise. This post is a just another testament to the mounting pile of threads exhibiting the same systematic disappointments.

Edit: out of curiosity to those who posted before me. Would this have been different if the game lasted 2 hours instead of 35 minutes? Would the issue be any different if they lost? Would this be any more denounced if a different analogy was used??
