League's automated behavior punishing system, MODERATOR OR STAFF ANSWER

The automated system bans player within 10-60 seconds after a game they play. I got banned solely based off 1 game that I just got done playing. So out of hundreds of games I have spent playing in this shit stain of policies and shit stain of the most sensitive, butt-hurt staff and player-base. The worst that was said by me in a game which everyone was toxic, even the team we were playing against were words such as "Garbage" "Feeding" and "Vagina". Why are we not informed of a list of vocabulary terms that should be apart of our user agreements? So the players that actually do spent the tireless and countless hours and even lots of money $$$$$$ into this game have at least some of protecting themselves? The system shouldn't even be allowed to be used in the first place. I do know it looks for specific words and possibly phrases when it determines the punishment right? Well everyone talks differently and everyone interprets differently also. The way someone talks depending on environment, what generation they grew up in and a whole bunch of other factors can literally be pitifully prejudice against a player! So Please RIOT where is my list of "Parental Control" Words and phrases that I cannot use in a game due to the fact it could be offensive to them without even me knowing that I WAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's not how it works. Most of the time, players get punished for consistently being toxic. Even though you may only have been shown 1-3 games in the chatlogs, the system probably factored in other games aswell.

So out of hundreds of games I have spent playing in this shit stain of policies and shit stain of the most sensitive, butt-hurt staff and player-base.

YOU made that choice. You could have easily not done that.

The worst that was said by me in a game which everyone was toxic,

Post chatlogs. No one is just going to believe that all you said was that 'everyone was toxic'.

Why are we not informed of a list of vocabulary terms that should be apart of our user agreements?

Because then we might aswell have a filter so that you can't say them at all.

And you can't even make such a list to begin with.

Firstly you'd constantly be making additions to the list. Really constantly. I'd like you to name ALL words you think should be on such a list. No matter how long you spend making such a list, I could easily find a new one to add. Always. Everytime.

Secondly, if you need a list of things not to say, then you're the type of player who Riot doesn't want playing anyways.

Third (and most important):

It's not so much about the words, but the meaning. Words are bythemselves harmless. It's the context that makes them malicious. So the list of words wouldn't even be contained to words. You'd have to find every single malicious sentence. That's not possible.

Use common sense. Be nice towards regular players, don't respond to toxic players and you'll NEVER have a problem with the system.

So the players that actually do spent the tireless and countless hours and even lots of money $$$$$$ into this game have at least some of protecting themselves?

Most players have that. It's called common sense. You don't need a list of things you can/cannot say to know if you what you're going to say is malicious or not.

You just don't. If the goal of what you write is to annoy/tilt someone, then don't write it. If you KNOW something may annoy/tilt someone, don't write it. Common sense.

Well everyone talks differently and everyone interprets differently also.

But most people have a similar interpretation of things. 'Talking differently' isn't an excuse to be toxic.

I BET if you post your chatlogs there is a 100% chance that you're toxicity doesn't stem from some cultural difference between you and us, but it just general toxicity.

So Please RIOT where is my list of "Parental Control" Words and phrases that I cannot use in a game

It's in your head.

The biggest problem here is not the words that are used, it is the attitude & meaning behind those words. You can say all the fucking, shitty-assed, god damned curse words you want, as long as they are not a part of the class of expletives that fall under hate speech, and as long as they are not directed at another player. For example, you can say "Fuck, I missed", but it is pushing it when you say "Why the fuck did you miss". It is unacceptable to say "You missed, you fucking garbage player".

The difference between the three is that the first one is a general statement with an expletive, the other two are directed at another player.

That one game might have put you over the top, punishment-wise, but it was probably a long time coming. Just so you know, jumping straight to a 14-day or perma is usually a sign of using zero tolerance words and/or phrases. You should post your chat logs.

So Please RIOT where is my list of "Parental Control" Words and phrases that I cannot use in a game due to the fact it could be offensive to them without even me knowing that I WAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not going to happen, mostly because people would find other ways to harass or abuse other players, then come here to complain their ban was unjustified because their method wasn't on the list.

Not gonna name specific words but they tend to come in 2 categories categories:

  • Hate Speech
  • Promoting self-harm

Swearing at worst will net you normal punishment (10 and then 25 game chat restriction followed by 14-day ban) while using terms in those two categories skips chat restriction.

Useless you repetitively used hate speech, you won't get 14-day banned for 1 game only.

The reform card o my shows you 1-5 recent games as examples of unacceptable behaviour, so you don't get to see the whole picture.

If you would li me to discuss why you got banned, post your reform card here and we can help youj understand what went wrong.
