So, let me get straight! People on these boards literally get threatened my life nothing happens to them. But state the truth and my account gets banned. It seems the mods who love to hide and always treat me unfairly love to ban me when it's uncalled for. But I have seen all these other people do a lot worse. It's clear the people here have been against me from the start! Why don't you just tell me that from the start? Just say hey we don't like you and we are against you. It's that simple.

If people are threatening you on the Boards, report the posts and we'll look into it. We take threats very seriously and if something slipped through, we won't hesitate to handle it. If you have reported it and it wasn't removed, you can submit a ticket to Player Support with links to the posts and they will be reviewed to see why they weren't removed.

We take threats very seriously and do everything we can to remove them right away and the offending parties are most definitely punished for them.

As for the Final Warning we sent you, we have removed your posts in the past with warnings about your posting behavior and you ignored them. If you continue your posting behavior on any account, all of your Boards accounts will be permanently suspended.

I didn't even say anything in the last post worthy of getting it banned from the boards. People literally say that same thing to me all the time and nothing is done to them. But only I get punished, I see how you guys are. And I did not ignore them, you ingnore what they do and then only come in after they say everything under the sun to me.

By, "my account gets banned", are you talking about a board ban or banned from the game?

There are different behavior standards expected of the player on the board compared to in the game.

Then my opinion on the matter is pretty much the same as what DrCyanide has already said. I haven't seen death threats not get removed. And I believe a person would be hard-pressed to get board banned from a single instance of poor behavior on the boards.

It usually takes consistent personal assaults or trolling for the mods to remove you. It's not limited to death threats.

I also believe that whether or not someone else deserves a board ban is a bit irrelevant, since it's your behavior that's being judged. Otherwise, each person who has ever been banned on the board could just search for a person that's just a little worse than them and request that they be unbanned because the mods haven't made the decision about this other bloke.

I'd be careful, i saw a post once that people who use an alternate account to post on behalf of a banned one can get banned too

Oh yeah, that's true all right. I recall on the old boards this one forum troll who eventually got their account banned from the boards for their own poor behavior. They kept coming back using the same name but adding a number at the end of it. If that wasn't enough they even kept advertising/announcing that they were the same person just on a new account (literally they would make new threads just to announce that they were the same person just on a different account. If that's not just plain stupidity and stubbornness then I don't know what is honestly). Eventually they did take a hint and came back using a different name entirely (didn't matter though, as their posting style made it easy to tell that it was still them). I believe that account got forum banned as well if I'm not mistaken.

But yeah trying to circumvent a forum ban by posting on another account will only result in that new account getting forum banned as well also.

This is only the case for accounts that have been permanently suspended from the Boards. The OP is currently on a temporary suspension.

So say if this account I'm on got a permanent ban on Boards only, and then I started using a smurf to post instead, does my smurf get banned instantly? And are we talking about a Boards or Game ban? Or is it both?

If one of your accounts earns a permanent suspension on the Boards, we also go through and suspend any alternate accounts you have at the time as well. If you come back again later and post on a new account, we look to suspend that one as well. It's not always our top priority on a day-to-day basis, but we do ban smurfs all the time.

As with any action on the Boards, your punishment can extend into the game if your actions warrant it. Boards suspensions have translated into in-game suspensions.

Quick question. Why are board smurfs banned but not in game smurfs? If someone gets permabanned from the game, they can just create a new account and play on. Also, how can you tell if someone is creating a new account after getting banned? Don't they have to use a new email, or can you sign up for multiple accounts with the same email?

Also, so you are suspending this account for this guy too? If so, why haven't you done it already?

Report it and it'll be deleted, and if they keep it up they'll get banned from the forums. They're not "getting away" with anything.

Also note that the Boards are moderated by an outside company, not Riot directly. While similar policies are in effect, they're not the same ones. Part of the differences are due to me not having to spend any time in your thread or replying to you, while in game you're stuck with people for the next 20-45 minutes.

As I said, you have to keep it up to get banned. I don't know this other person's history, I don't know your history, but it's safe to assume neither of you got banned for a first offense.

I suggest tagging your thread with @TheCurator, as he is the visible moderator (there are more, he's just the only one that will use the boards).

They don't do boards bans very often, but if this player you say is harassing you with such extreme behavior continues he will eventually be banned.

My personal suggestion is to do one or both of two things;

Never reply to harassing or troll comments. They want to see that they affected you, so if you ignore them they'll go away or get banned eventually.
Download the Forum Enhancer Kit (FEK). You can use this to blacklist players and never see what they have to say. It has a lot of other features, but this one in particular should be of use to you for this.

There's no favorites. You were simply closer to being punished than the others you're talking about. If they continue their behavior on the Boards they'll get a temporary forum ban the same as you did.

You are pretty immature if you think that is only Riot that does this and people that disagree with you are brainwashed kid lol. Open your eyes and go outside and see how the real world works is all I can say to you.

I'll be nice and make an example even though you will most likely refute it with something stupid anyways. Say you went through a red traffic light and a cop pulled you over, you can tell that cop all you want that the person in front of you did it as well, they could care less since all they are concerned about is you broke a rule and you are the one that got pulled over.

Sounds to me that someone has been too sheltered in their life and all you know is to whine about it, that might have helped you before, but in a game with strangers, they could care less.
