unfair permaban

Hi guys, yesterday was the last ranked day for season 6 and I was hyped. Finally after the hard work I'm gold and I'm getting my rewards, then I got an email saying that I got permabanned. "Your account: (username here) was banned due to the use of malicious 3rd party programs or modifications to your League of Legends client.". I was surprised because I never used a malicious 3rd party program of any sort. I'm very aware that scripts or hacks will get my account banned and I'm not stupid to waste my grinding to gold for a script. I sent a ticket to support and I'm waiting for them to reply. Anyone knows why would riot consider as 3rd party malicious program? I use shadowplay to record and it shows an FPS counter in-game, maybe it counts as a modification to client? I'm not really that good with scripts or stuff. I'm really sad that riot banned my account after all the time and money I spent on it (+250 euro). I don't think I'm gonna ever go back to playing league, not gonna risk investing 2 years or so just to get banned again. My summoner: HÜN73R

I doubt it was ShadowPlay, as I use it, but was told by a Rioter that is something they don't currently ban for.

lol has an inbuilt fps counter that you can toggle in options i think so doubt that is the reason

Custom skins are not against rules, but programs that give you access to paid assets of Riot's for free are against the rules.

My fav champs each have atleast 2 skins. So no, I don't use any program not since months

they often also enable you to use riot owned skins eventhough just you see them its not allowed cause you basicly steal them

if you still have them on your pc they could have caused it. there are some programs that are not allowed by riot because they allow you to use skins by riot that you didnt pay for

How do I perma delete them? Or should I install league from scratch

yeah deleting all league related stuff where it was in, but that wont bring you the account back it will only make it safe for you to play on this pc again

What a joke Riot is! I got banned for the exact same reason on my main account when i hadn't used it for 2 weeks and my second acc is not banned both played on the same client.

Well for that particular ban reason, you had to be reported and reviewed by a human.

I do remember, I got a lucky grab (blitzcrank) on enemy player and when he asked I said "lol hacks". It would suck if riot would ban me for that reason without even checking if I really did hack or not :(

For 3rd party applications, they check. They queue you up for review and have a human review it. They have access to tons of data and it is pretty easy to differentiate 3rd party programs. I honestly have never heard of someone actually being wrongfully banned for this reason and I know IRL a few who have claimed they have been banned falsely for that reason and yet I saw their computers and that they had certain programs that definitely violate policy installed.

Not that it doesn't ever happen, but have them review it with an appeal. They will be able to tell whether or not it is a mistake.

I don't know what you mean by having them review it with an appeal. But I will ask them to lol hopefully getting my account back, otherwise I'm leaving league for good

Submit a support ticket asking them to review it.
