Eh... have you spent much time on the Interwebz? In every discussion forum I've EVER been involved in there are always people who get emotional and take things too far. Science and Physics, Dungeons & Dragons, Art Forums, Gaming Forums, Social Forums, Political Forums... It's almost as if having a different opinion and expressing it is part of the human condition. Expressing one's opinion doesn't absolve one of the consequences of sharing said opinion, or the consequences of HOW they went about sharing their opinion:
Example A: "You're a jerk and an a**hat, gtfo of my face!" (--gives middle finger--)
Example B: "Sir, though we've just met, I would that we should become better strangers." (--smiles and nods, walking away--)
Sure, either statement could get you punched in the face, but Example B is more likely to leave the other person scratching their head.

Same with the times I've helped people unsure why they were punished learn more about the system so they can ensure that their accounts don't face any future issues.

you are not understanding the psychology and physiologic damage gaming is doing to our youth.
when people come to show their player behavior, what you don't understand the behavior was created from the game.
it causes damage to the mind, but you blame the player when the game in fact is not designed to make you positive.

video game addiction is a huge global scale problem.
just like the tobacco and alcohol industry that made huge bucks it took a while for them to give warnings and advise people the risk of the action as well as casino gaming addiction
it will take a while since the online gaming is rather new phenomenon but in time people will come to a realization that in fact causes problems to people.
there is many cases of people that were directly affected by gaming in very negative ways.

Not necessarily. I can only speak for myself and those I know. I'm pretty chill in real life and pretty chill in the game. My son is is a braggadocio in real life and in the game. My best friend is easily frustrated in real life and in the game. The 'game' is played in real life so it makes sense that one's real life personalities would show through.

When I look at the enemy character, that digital avatar looks the same and I can't discern the emotions of the human on the other side of the screen (or the other side of the planet). Sure, a play may be desperate or someone my flash a mastery, but it means they made a desperate play - not that they are feeling desperate.

Violence and war are unfortunately a part of life. The Occult (that which is hidden) is only a part of life for those who engage in magical thinking. What happens in league that is so 'bad/evil/negative' anyway? Champions die but are then reborn in the fountain? The battle is lost but there is always another to be fought? Sounds like mythological and religious themes to me, from christianity to norse myth.

I have experienced the same ratio of positive to negative emotions while playing League of Legends as I do whilst playing any other game, or doing any other task or action in my life. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's not so good. You hope for the good, and you accept the bad and try to avoid. But in the end, everything tends to balance.

I suspect if the general thrust of many of those threads were tempered into more of a legitimate give-and-take of discussion and less "Riot is wrong / Riot is right," Riot might be more inclined to step in and discuss things. Ultimately, however, when people say "this is absurd and needs to change" rather than "why is the system this way? I'm legitimately curious," it means that engaging isn't always the best plan, as it's hard to have a rational discussion into outrage that doesn't seek to become informed, but rather seeks to find agreement.
We have the rest of the community who won't be subjective when discussing if some1 deserved a ban or not.. oh wait
Some parts of the community are better at this than others, definitely, but I think it's a bit much to paint the entire boards community with the "too biased" or "unhelpful" brush.
There's also an issue where some people equate "not being objective" with "not agreeing with me," so this is definitely something that can be improved on all sides.
