AFK For Months, Only to Come Back to a Ban?

Hey guys, I'm really sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong category, but I do know where else to look and I think that the community would be knowledgeable about this.

The last time I played LoL was maybe 3 months ago, when I was playing with my friends and suddenly lost power, which booted me out of the game. I decided that I would take a break from League and other video games so that I could focus on school, and have not logged on since.

Fast forward to today, and I decide to play League again and realize that I need to install the client, since I'm playing on a new computer that I recently built. Once the client installs, I opt into the beta program (because I like to help out developers by testing things) and I proceed to log in. When I log in, I get a pop-up that states my account has been permanently banned, and I should check my email address for more information.

At this point I'm freaking out because as stupid as it sounds, I've put some money into my account so that I could purchase a skin for my favorite hero and as a result I'm very distraught about this.

I have never installed any software or scripts on my computer that interact with LoL. I have never given any person my login information, nor have I ever been contacted by someone asking for it. I am not toxic to my teammates, I usually end games with a "GG" and commendations if other players on the team deserve them. I gave my little brother my old PC, but not before wiping the hard drive completely. I have not opened LoL since the last time that I was disconnected because of a power outage.

What should I do? I am really freaking out about this because of the skins in my account, and also this is one of the only games that I can play with some of my friends who have computers that can't really run the game. I don't think that I did anything to deserve this.

EDIT: I checked the email linked to the account for anything that might have come from Riot or LoL, but did not find any email of the sort. I made sure to check the spam and trash folders as well.

First you want to make sure your email is verified. Go to the top right of this page to your account and go to Settings to do that.

Then make sure Riot Games emails aren't being sent to your spam folder. Check for the email you should've received.

Finally, submit a Support Ticket and request more information on your ban. Your account could've been compromised while you were gone, or maybe you did something before you left that resulted in it. Player Support will help you out.
