So this is why I got a 2 week suspension on League of Legends. Can anyone explain to me how this is toxic enough to be bannable? I'm slightly confused to be honest

Was my first punishment on this account. It's weird because I've straight up had kids told me to kill myself but when I report them nothing happens. Then I get this punishment like what

14-day bans are given out for any of the more egregious offenses; hate speech (like racial or homophobic slurs), calling people retarded, intentionally feeding, and account boosting have all been known to land you with 14-day or even permanent bans even with very few punishments on the account prior to that point.

There are a number of possibilities here;

You were punished for this chat following a previous punishment (typically a 25-game chat restriction)
You were punished for zero-tolerance chat in the pre-/post-game lobbies, which the IFS didn't present
You edited your chat logs to omit zero-tolerance chat
You were given an undue punishment (unlikely)

No previous bans on this account. Also this was all the chat it showed me on my client so I'm not really sure what's going on :/

Well, since this is the first punishment, possibility #1 is down. I'll additionally give you the benefit of the doubt and take off #3 as well, so, all that leaves is potential zero-tolerance chat in client lobbies, or the ever-rare undue punishment.

So, to the matter of lobby chat; Pre- and Post-game lobby chat is recorded and considered in the IFS' judgement when a player is reported, but, the IFS presently only provides chat logs from the game itself, and not the client. And, since the lobbies are part of the client, their chat is not brought up in reform cards.

If you used zero-tolerance chat (hate speech, encouragements of self-harm, or death-threats), then a 14-day ban would be deserved. If that isn't the case - even in lobby chat - then it's possible that the ban was issued in error, and it would be possible to contact Riot to have the ban reduced to a chat restriction (as the chat is still punishable).

All said, I recommend you go here and file a Support Ticket. Ask them the reason your punishment was escalated, and whether or not it could be reduced due to the circumstances (as we know them at present, anyway)

As an aside, another valid reason for a 14-day suspension would be due to being caught intentionally feeding or trolling in a given match - however, I checked your recent match history, and it's clear that your 14-day ban was not issued for gameplay-related toxicity (although trolling /might/ be a possibilty, I'm inclined to doubt it.)

Hopefully, if you do choose to send in a Support Ticket, that your issue gets resolved quickly and cleanly.

you don't get punished for what you say in pre/post game lobby otherwise i'd be banned in the first 5 pvp games of my new accounts

You don't get punished if people don't report you. That's not the same thing as the chat being punishable or not.

Most likely, beginners haven't found the report button yet by that point.

What is wrong with you that you would say things that you know would be punishable?

There are different tiers of punishments, and they generally follow this path:

First Offense: 10 Game Chat Restriction
Second Offense: 25 Game Chat Restriction
Third Offense: Two Week Suspension
Fourth Offense: Permanent Suspension

Your chat consisted of you constantly berating your teammates. Calling them bad, brain-dead, idiots, and rank shaming them on top of that is definitely punishment worthy. I'm guessing you've had a 25 game chat restriction in the past. Any punishments after a 25 game chat restriction typically result in a 14 day ban, though it is possible to skip punishment tiers based on the severity of the behavior in the game. Excessive negative behavior can result in a Two-Week or Permanent suspension at any time without having a chat restriction on the account.

you don't need to insult people to get banned, just arguing with teammates gets you banned because riot wants league to be a safe space for kids

I don't understand why riot would allow for in game chat if that's their goal. You don't need the chat to play the game successfully with a team of randoms

Arguing in and of itself does not get banned unless you literally spam chat with it. What usually gets you banned is what you do while arguing, so if you belittle or demean others while you argue with them then you end up getting banned. But again, it's not the arguing that got you banned, it's what you did in your arguing that did it.

gonna add that the system becomes more strict after each punishment and one kinda bad game where you argue with teammates without actually flaming will get you punished

This is far from "constructive criticism" as you stated in your other post. While I do think a punishment is warranted, this log alone probably wouldn't hit you with an immediate 2-week ban.

That being said, your last game that had a Trist in it was 4 games ago, which is slightly unusual as far as punishments go, especially 2-week bans. Are you sure this was all the chat you were shown? Did you try scrolling down?

There are four levels of punishments for being toxic, 2 chat restrictions, a 14 day ban then a permanent ban. If you have already had the chat restrictions your next offense after the 2 weeks are up will be a permanent ban. If you don't show change after the first punishments they escalate, so if you've been punished before it isn't "are these ban worthy" it's "are they punishment worthy". If the answer is yes then you move up a tier in punishment. If this is your first offense send in a support ticket to riot to either have them review it or clarify if the logs aren't clear....and since they send 3 games of logs and you only have one either you left it out or didn't get them.

hate to break it to you, this is not a mistake. you get banned for typing a fuck ton in games and flaming, there are no bans shorter than 2 week suspensions so next ban is permanent.
