Proper context for insults.

This is my first season, so I'm still trying to figure this out. There is a chat filter for the use of curse words etc. I was just in a game (we had a 0/6 or 0/7 fiora who I believe reported me out of her own frustration) where an immediate ban incurred.

This is the only context for the ban. There were no other insults, no arguing, nadda.

I STILL think it is humorous and I'm actually trying to find in the TOU the rule I broke. I'm not bashing gays, nor does the term I used apply to homosexuals in pop culture even 1% of the time. My gay duo (almost all ranked games together) uses the term to express discontent ALL the time. I'm not going to argue the ban because I wont win my case obviously. It's Riots private game. Their rules. I just want to ask:

Is the community REALLY this sensitive? I've been reported for calling someone a nignog. In the army we use that term to describe a dunderhead. It has nothing to do with race other than sharing a single syllable with a certain no-no word.

In a social setting, you can't take something out of context and use it to be offended. You have to be the most insulted person on the planet for that. Good to know, however, that I can't use that term anymore.

Are there any other situations in which a rather acceptable insult is ousted in league by the SJW mentality?

EDIT: Good lord it doesn't even post here. No responses needed, I see how the autocracy works lol. For the record, I and my peers have never been offended by anything in chat. We have had individuals joke about soldiers dying in war, cancer jokes (I completed LINAC therapy for a hypopharyngeal carcinoma in May), all sorts of demographic jokes... Normal people are not offended by words in a game. If the average person is, they are not normal. Clearly no one played Counter Strike 15 years ago.

Community isn't sensitive, people just don't need to deal with that shit in game. I play league to have fun and get a competitive experience. Not be told by some random dude to KYS or be called names. Does it bug me? No. Do I want to deal with it though? No. Keep that stuff among your friends.

It's also important to note people have different backgrounds and feel differently about certain issues. While you and your friends may not find what you say offensive, that doesn't mean someone else may not. It really doesn't have anything to do with SJW mentality.

For the record, the people who reported you are your peers. Also reporting you isn't necessarily because they are offended, its because people don't want to deal with childish crap like this.

And you seem to want to say a lot about the system of which you are not yet willing to use. You were provided chat logs but have not put them up, are you afraid to ?

It's your right not to put them up, but to kind of use your own terms, are you so > sensitive?

Yes, I asked for your logs, and Thank you for that.

You still changed the context of your beginning statement and not the way I would have, why did you not just add your logs to existing statement.

The two racial slurs are what did it here. Riot has a zero-tolerance policy for things like hate speech, racist comments and the like, hence why they almost always result in an immediate 14-day ban or a permaban in more extreme instances. It's not about being offended it's about not wanting to see that kind of behavior and language in the game, and before you say it no the chat filter is not an excuse to use that kind of language. Next time avoid engaging in that kind of behavior, or at the very least keep it to a full premade group of friends where you know no one will report you for it.

There actually isn’t a filter for all curse words. The system only picks up on these if they’re both directed at someone else and reported by a player in the game.

It's probably for the best that you got punished in your first season if you really can't see why you were punished.
