14 day suspension

Hello, I received a 14 day suspension on my account for only one game, and I didn't get the chat restriction for 20 games. In that one particular game I didn't write anything offensive for 30 minutes, I was playing support and the adc was calling me retard, idiot, useless.. I made a mistake, I didn't muted him and responded to his provocation. Yes, I was also toxic like him.

I submitted a ticket to Riot and asked them how was this fair for only game. They told me I shouldn't fight fire with fire, and toxicity is not tolerated at all. I gave them right, but told them it's not fair that my single report wasn't enough to get that guy punished who started the whole game(they were premades) and I asked them to punish him with 14 day suspension because this is how it's fair. They didn't do anything about it so I kept writing more about the unfairness of this case.

Today I tried to log in and see if I get the message if a player was punished I previously reported, but I couldn't. I found out I got permanently suspended before my 14 day suspension ended. I can't believe this, and I'm really confused and mad, how is this fair?

Sounds like they reviewed your case and manually increased the punishment due to the severity of the behavior they found. You'll simply have to open up a support ticket and ask (I recommend referencing the old ticket so they can look at it).

As for why your one report may not trigger a punishment for them while theirs did to you, there are a couple facts about that which are important;

  1. Reviews are triggered by getting lots of reports, typically across many games (premade reports only count as one). To get your matches reviewed this was likely the result of many games of toxic behavior, not just this one. You are only provided 1-3 chat logs, but that is not all that was in the case review.

  2. You don't always get notified that your report resulted in punishment. As long as your reports are accurate they will contribute to triggering a review and subsequent punishment, but if that player is not consistently toxic and reported then odds are he won't be punished for a one-off game.

Guys, it was only one game. I mean, he probably acted like an absolute scumbag for 40 minutes. BUT IT WAS ONLY ONE GAME.

Don't act like a dickhead and Riot won't have an issue if you're part of their games' community.

I'm a casual worker at a deli to help pay for my university costs. If you came into my store and started swearing at other customers, you would probably end up arrested and be given a court order forbidding you for ever coming near the store again. Even if you only did in 'one time'.

Be thankful that Riot didn't permanently ban you. If they thought your actions warranted a longer suspension, good on Riot for manning up and laying down the law.

Only one game, where I was provoked, called an idiot, a retard, was told to uninstall this game because I'm not worth to play it. For 30 minutes I didn't write anything. I didn't wrote anything offensive to other teammembers, only this guy who started calling me noob and idiot for every little mistake. I dare to reply and I'm the one who gets a 14 day suspension. Then I told Riot this is extremely unfair, at least give the other guy the same punishment too, and now I'm permanently suspended. I should've muted the guy who started flaming me I know, but we are human and sometimes we just can't let insults without a word.

So what if I was in your store and another custommer would start insulting me? I should pretend I don't hear him and don't say anything back? Maybe yes, but my point is, I didn't stated the flaming, still I'm the one who ended up with a permanent suspension for only one game. Fair, right?

If they swear at you then you lose your shit at them, I'd probably assume you're the one causing trouble.

But that wasn't the case :))))) If Riot hands out the full chat logs I can paste them here, for 30 minutes I was silent, didn't responded to any insult. But why you try to make me look like I was the bad guy in the first place? Are you so offensive with everyone? Yes, I was guilty, because I shouldn't write anything at all, like I did in the first 30 minutes. But calling me a retard, an idiot in a normal game where I practiced Bard for some minor things? And I ended the game in 4-7-17 if that adds anything to it, I wasn't in 0-20 And btw I called him a primitive sad person who can't enjoy a normal game without flaming and blaming others. But this is after 30 minutes.

I don't doubt that you were provoked, but obviously how you responded was disproportionate.

Yes, and I agreed with Riot Support that my punishment is well deserved, but only if the guy gets the same punishment. But guess what, he played his last ranked 2 hours ago. And he was the most unfriendly, toxic player I've ever met, and I'm playing on EUNE since season3, and I never was punished before, only a chat restriction for 10 games.

I should change the title, because people automatically think I cry about a 14 day suspension, my problem is that I got suspended for 14 days then without playing a single game it turned into a permaban.

The game lasted 45 minutes btw, so I wasn't a scumbag for 40 minutes, only 15 and only with that guy.

Keep in mind, not everyone get the message that someone was banned because of your report. If said player went into another game, got reported, and THEN got banned, the player who reported him in the second game will get the message.

And while I am sorry you lost your account, Riot's rules are firm. Retaliation is treated the same as initiation. If you break the rules, you have to take the consequences of your actions. In future, try to be more responsible and ignore toxic players, or mute them if you can't. You need to be on your best bahavior, because if you are not careful, you next punishment good result in permanent suspension.

Initiation wasn't treated at all, that was my problem, and I let Riot Support know that they don't care about toxic players until this guy can freely play. He's playing even now while I'm permabanned, all this for ONE game. And I won't say goodbye to this account, I have this since season3 and I never was punished, I received my first chat restriction last month, and after that this one game happened and now I'm permabanned. You think this is fair, to get a permaban because I offended a Rioter on a ticket? It was a 14 day suspension, I was able to log in the last couple days. I know my English is not perfect, but what do I try to say is my 14 day suspension turned into a permanent ban(3 days left) without playing a single game.

I think it seems like people are making you out to be the bad guy because we don't know what happened. There's been hundreds (probably thousands) of people who try to sound like the good guy even though they got punished. They say it was only one game, I'm never toxic, etc.. but all we know is that RIOT chose to ban you, so why would we take your word for it? It could be (and probably is) that you've been toxic in several games lately and this game was the last straw for you. Of course you're gonna say it was only one game, but why would we believe it? Back in the day when people did this, a riot employee would come in and post the logs, completely annihilating their argument and showing everyone that that person is indeed toxic, in more than just 1 game (called it the lyte smite). So it's hard for us to just take your word for it, please understand.

As for your ban, I'm leaning on the side of, you probably are toxic sometimes, because you retaliated. If you retaliated against this flamer, why would you do that if you never retaliate against other flamers? There's no way this is the first flame you've seen on this game, so it's probably happened before. Riot has had enough of you feeding the trolls and flamers and felt the need to rid you from the community for it. As for the other guy, maybe this was the first time he snapped on a feeder or he just hasn't done it enough for riot to feel he needs punishment, idk. We don't know, we can't know, and you can't know. So just try to move on man... you're feeling the need for revenge, but you gotta try n get over that and just move on with your own life. Whether the other person gets banned holds no consequence on your own life. It's a terrible feeling to want revenge and you're only hurting yourself by feeling that way. So rise above it. Don't be petty, don't concern yourself with other people's lack of suffering.

I'm playing since season3, and was never was punished until last month. And I have an account on euw and na too, but there I didn't even got a chat restriction, but EUNE is another thing. You don't know what's going on that server, people say terrible things, some called me a gipsy from a 3rd world country, other guy said he hopes my mother dies in a car accident and my family gets murdered. If I get banned now for one game this must be a complete joke, just like Riot Support with their copy paste template replies. For 3 years I had no problem, and now I clearly deserve a ban. It's easy to say move on. And the funny thing is it was a 14 day suspension, but I upset them with my tickets. Or it's just bc of chargebacks(bought a skin before my ban), I don't know yet. So I already skipped the 25 games chat restriction and got a 14 day suspension for one game, it was one game because I asked for chat logs and they sent me only those lines I get when I log in. And after a couple of days, couple of messages to Riot Support the 14 day suspension magically turned into a permanent ban, 3 days before my 14 day suspension ended. And you tell me to move one.. please think before you write.

I asked Riot to punish that guy with a 14 day suspension too, or if not lift mine, because this is how it's fair.

I can't log in and see the chat logs, and I also didn't got any email about my permanent suspension. I have a feeling they just wanted to make a point they are always right. I see 10 times worse things in almost every game on EUNE, my behaviour shouldn't be punished with a permanent suspension for sure.

I called them unhelpful, told them they show 0 empathy and they don't care about justice at all until some players get banned. I feel like they took this personal, but this is my opinion even if I expressed myself a bit harsh. I'm pretty sure this is some kind of revenge, since this happened after my last message, they didn't even reply to that one just marked my ticket as "solved".

Its certainly locked manually.

hang in tight and wait for the email stating the permanent ban reason. it can take from a few hours to a couple of days.

keep in mind "bumping" your ticket will send it to the back of the queue and delay your response.

Its not allowed, but that is just what you speculate.

If they did increase the punishment due to toxicity, it will have to be a justified escalation and a pretty big deal.

Ask for chat logs, but if you were that bad, you might have been banned for something pretty bad. Be honest with yourself, you probably know if you were exceptionally vile or intentionally fed.

Look, it was only a 14 day suspension before I started calling Riot Support useless and not carrying about my concerns at all. I logged in every day, I get the chat logs from Game1, but now I can't. Now I can't after my last message to Riot Support.

People are so offensive toward someone who's banned, and they are so happy seeing it. But I don't know why, I responded to a provoker and I got a 14 day suspension. Ok, I shouldn't do that, but he didn't get any punishment. I contact Riot how this is fair that the guy who provoked me and insulted me for 30 minutes got away, while I received a 14 day suspension for 1 game. I kept complaining, sending replies and tickets, and now I'm permanently banned. While the other guy is still playing happily. You can imagine I'm feeling great.

Ya I'm not saying like get over it and move on because I think you're a piece of shit or something... I'm saying it is causing you pain and the only thing that will help you is to try n just accept what happened and move on. You can't control what riot does... if it's out of your control it's not worth fretting over. It's wisdom man, not me dismissing your problems and saying get over it pussy. There's a famous saying; grant me the strength to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. The person who didn't get punished is the thing you can't change... you need the strength to accept what you cannot change. I know it's hard but that's why you're feeling like shit, so for your own good, not the good of us, you need to accept what happened and move on. Maybe you can find solace in the fact that if this guy does that shit again, he will get punished eventually. Otherwise, yes that is shitty that you get punished and he doesn't, I hear you there. But I don't know what was said. None of us do except the people in that match and riot.
