Let me first start by saying, I really truly do enjoy this game, but a lot of the things about riot as a company, really suck. Also, let me say that I'm not complaining about being chat banned or suspended. This is purely to vent about the community and the lack of moderation.

I read enough topics to understand that riot doesn't read or care about player discussions. I also have been chat banned enough to understand that the report system is unfair and flawed.

While I'm aware in the past I did get reported for things that I deserved to get reported for. I was pretty toxic. But after my first chat ban I honestly learned my lesson. I stopped chatting unless to give advice or say "Good job". I may also tell a joke every once in a while.

But the next time I was chat banned, was because I joined a ranked game as an ADC, and the support stole all my kills and cs, but still I didn't complain to him or call him names or curse. I don't like being chat banned so I asked him nicely to stop and he didn't stop, I asked him nicely multiple times, until finally I moved to top lane to try and pick up a kill or some cs, so that I can be in the game as the ADC. Then the top laner started crying and I tried explaining (Calmly again) what I was doing, but by then it was too late. They had made up their mind that they were gonna report me, and so I got a chat ban, 25 game chat ban...

I just recently got off of that chat ban, I realize what I did wrong, I left bot lane without asking for permission from the rest of the team. I basically was part of the problem.... I understand what I did wrong, but I did it for the betterment of the team... I wanted to WIN.

Now that brings me to why I'm here today...

I just played a game, honestly I haven't even been playing league because I have my reservations -- I've payed so much money into champions and skins and chests... I'd rather not play and keep what I have, than play and risk getting banned. I try my absolute best to be respectful and nice to everybody... And then this happens...

This game had me as Jinx (ADC) and Lulu (Support), from the beginning lulu afk'd for like a minute, I think he was setting up a cheat client... But thats just speculation.

He bought his normal item 3303 which is a support item (Discourages minion kills). He still proceeded to steal every cs from me and blow summoner spells to flash over me to steal kills from me. Once again, I asked him completely nicely. "Bro, please stop stealing my cs and kills"... "Bro please..."... He didn't speak a single word the entire time, he just proceeded to steal my CS and kills..

I tried my best to contain my emotions.... But all I kept thinking was "I'm stuck in this game... I'm stuck dealing with this blatant toxicity" Its a normal game so I wasn't like... That mad yet -- but I know I was gonna be in this game for 50 minutes of my life... I have a life I have a job I need to not be on this game, just to be annoyed...

After a few more pleads to stop and be a support, he went back to base and bought a item 1083... That item ENCOURAGES minion kills, so I really felt disrespected, so I this time ANNOUNCED to the lobby "I can't stay in this lane with lulu" and the top lane Nasus said "I'm only stacking Qs right now" so I assumed that was permission to go up to his lane.. Like 2 minutes later he said "Jinx, what are you doing here?" and then in /ALL chat "Everybody report jinx".

Now in my mind, I am thinking I'm getting reported, thats it, my account is done.... Riot doesn't review reports... I'm a few troll reports away from a permanent ban, so now I'm starting to get emotional, not mad but... More sad.. sad that this is the way that my League ends, in a Normal Blind Pick game trolled by a silver know-it-all cheating Lulu and reported for yet again, trying to salvage what would be a loss. I then said sorry to nasus repeatedly and he kept saying to report me and that it was too late... Lulu then begins to speak and said...

"You suck as adc, you have no attack speed"

"ADC with no damage out put, you suck"

"You suck jinx, you suck"

I'm trying my best not to curse him out and hold back my anger and emotions, because I don't want to lose my account... I work hard for my money and I played this game so long... I literally CRIED in real life, because I couldn't do anything about the game and the way I felt inside, I couldn't even rage quit the game because then I'd get reported for AFK... I felt so defenseless... I felt so victimized.

I'm a grown man -- I shouldn't feel the need to cry over a video game... I shouldn't feel like this... I shouldn't feel like the victims can be freely victimized because if someone troll reports you -- you can just as easily get punished, and the toxic continue on to terrorize other games, unimpeded.

Received a 14 day suspension.

NOTE: I'm adding in contextual discussion so that it makes more sense -- in report chat logs its only my chat which shows. Also note that most of these messages occured with long pauses or breaks in between the messages.. So when I left lane I was probably like 6 or 7 minutes into the game. and when nasus complained about losing experience volibear and nasus were both lvl 7s. I had just gained lvl 6 and just got my ultimate. (As he said it I was lvl 5)

You know troll reports do nothing right? You do nothing wrong, nothing happens to you.

I've gotten the little pop up saying I've been reported more than usual. Never gotten a chat restriction or ban. Being reported =/= Ban.

If you're innocent, you're safe.

PS: Number of reports don't matter either. One report is all it takes to flag a game. So troll premades can't gang report you. Or rather, they can. It's just still counted as 1 reported game. And if you're found innocent, they lose report weight.

THIS is what is wrong with League. The fact you have to ask permission to play your champ is beyond ludicrous. The fact you can get penalized for it is appalling. And the fact players report their teammates because they want to be the boss makes me want to break their computer.

If you truly weren't toxic, I don't think their reports should count but if you did get punished send in a ticket explaining what happened. I think they'll be able to look at the chat logs of the match and if you were being polite and weren't cursing or saying anything toxic they might be able to do something. If you have screenshots too send those.

Not sure how much they'd be able to do but it is worth a try

That is a huge issue with the system as it is for me. When people intentionally feed or troll as this player did, and I have had this happen to me as well and it is absolutely fucking infuriating, there is no winning solution for you. You either vent your frustration and get reported for flaming, leave the game and get reported for leaving, or deal with it and be an adc with 0 cs and 0 kills and be useless and have your team call you trash for it. You are stuck in a shitty position either way.

Some people will say just deal with it but games are meant to be fun. There is nothing fun about feeling like a hostage.

If what you say is true that sucks and I feel sorry for you. I would hope Riot would be able to tell you aren't being toxic.

Only suggestion I could give you is when that happens again I probably wouldn't head up to another lane to take their cs. I know you mean well and are just trying to keep up but people don't like it when you take their cs. Just acknowledge to your team that your support is taking cs. I'm pretty sure they would believe you if she bought a cull and can see her cs count. Just do your best and hope your team is understanding.

Genuinely surprised that people are being civil in replies. It's a fact that Riot refuse to see that their community has a massive problem with attitudes. Some feel entitled to anything, some think they can make no mistakes and it must be someone else's fault, others purposely troll. I had a ranked game (another account, not banned for anyone curious) a long time ago where I went as Thresh to support a Sivir. This is when we still had green wards and before the visual update to Summoner's Rift.

At the start I bought a ward, had my trinket ward and one health potion. Went to bot and waited for minions to spawn then dropped my trinket in the red buff (blue side). Walked to lane making sure to drop my ward in the tribush and Sivir is shoving lane hard. I do a little harassing and keep moving about to make the other team wonder if I'm going to go in or not. Sivir keeps taking poke through the minions and screams at me saying "fucking get in front of me" so I would take the poke instead of them when we were just outside turret range. I say something like "are you serious?" and got flamed. I try to ignore it but with the lane shoved we get ganked. I had used the green ward in tribush and my trinket was still on cooldown so I couldn't ward the river. You might ask yourself why Sivir didn't ward it - they did not even have a trinket ward. After dying from the gank they rage and say it's my job to ward, they shouldn't have to and that's why they have no trinket, that I'm a terrible support and asking for reports. Then they proceeded to rage more and kept telling me to get out of their lane. Unsurprisingly I lost that game.

Riot want everyone to believe that toxic players are a minority. They might be but it only takes one person to ruin a game for their team and then they will likely go on and ruin another game for another 4 players. Each person that has this negative experience reacts differently. Some might be able to ignore it and continue on, some will react badly and play badly as a result in their next game, others will rage in their next game if that starts going badly too. So while it might just one person it snowballs into more than just that and this is what is really hard to control for Riot. I would like the game to be non-toxic. I have played games online for a long time and in all that time League has the most abusive, insulting and demeaning players I've ever experienced.

Usually I don't fall for these "I'm innocent!" posts but in this case, I'm kinda on the OP's side.

Prolly SHOULDN'T have messed with Nasus' farm - he's like the last one on team to do that to.

Even tho Jinx should never get outfarmed by a Lulu, perhaps the Lulu was just better at CSing (or had that hack).

Now you've had to of had many reports against you to be elevated to 14day susp, but if this was the "straw" it is unjust and uncool....

If playing solo, just turn all chat off. Screw em. Why try to be nice in game if all you are going to do is peave someone off. Play your game to how you want to play it. From what I have seen in the short time I've been here is that this is the most toxic, unappealing game to play with chat on that I have ever seen or heard of. Join a clan/club to play with that uses mic com's, and you're problem is solved and the games will become enjoyable. I do not even look at chat any more if I have at least one other teammate that I am in communication with via voice. Hard to get banned if the only comment you make in the whole game is in the champ selection screen saying where you would like to play.

I had a similar experience with a premade & a trolling support that resulted in a chat restriction.

I said nothing of any real consequence but did make it clear I was not going to continue playing with them as long as I got trolled.

Despite Riot swearing up and down that the number of reports in a game don't matter, I dont buy it one bit.

Just have to learn to bite your tongue. If its an impossible situation, whatever you decide to actually do, if you play, kill time for ff, or quit, just do it quietly and you will be fine going forward.

damn man that's a pretty shitty situation. I do not know the history behind the original chat restrictions so I am unsure how toxic or not you are. I have never had an account in trouble of being banned so its hard for me to exactly understand where you are coming from. I know on this account I played a lot of ranked and realized I have a lot more fun and play better if I am chill and not raging at people so I always try and keep calm and not rage at my team even if someone is trolling or w/e. It has helped me overall play better and has kept my account in good standing. I have an alternate account I trolled into bronze last season and eventually ranked it back up to mid silver. I used to drink and play this game a lot on that account so that account had a few chat restrictions and was in some trouble. I straightened out my act and I believe that account is now in good standing as I still received season rewards.

I don't know it sucks that you have to worry about being troll reported. I would like to think Riot wouldn't ban you if you were doing nothing wrong, but it is hard to say. I would suggest literally saying nothing until you have some clean months. The system will not pick you up if you do not talk at all. I know its lame but it is what it is. Only things I would say is "please" "thank you" "gg".

When I have a support troll me and take cs I usually just roll with it. I do not play normals much so the only time I really have seen it recently would have been in silver 4-bronze area on my alternate account. In those situations I just play the game out and end up with a fuck ton of assist as adc by the end. Its annoying but I have won games that way.

I suggest next time anyone starts making you mad or trolling you at all you just mute your team and the enemy and just play. Turn on some music, try your best, and whatever happens, happens, This should hopefully turn down the stress you feel and should keep your account from being banned and eventually lead to it being back in good standing. If not. then probably quit playing this game for awhile. Its not worth making you cry over. I know the game has made me really emotional at times as well and it pisses me off more because I realize how silly it is that I am so mad about a stupid game.
