How quickly/effectively are 'cheaters' dealt with?

I have recently made a new account - To avoid the pressure of this and that - and have been leveling it as most people do. I say 'Most' but to my shock I have seen a few scripters in games. I've been trying things like checking for wards and then - when 100% hidden and at close to point blank range - fire a skillshot that gets dodged "Just right".

Low level ARAM however takes the cake. I have watched three 'Champ' run the same line for most of the game, just behind the tower, and occasionally throw a few spells out before retreating and following each other like some kind of trollish Konga line.

I have reported this, as it's not fair on anybody, especially new players who haven't got a clue about botting and the likes.

My question is - how serious are 'cheaters' being punished, and is it easy to know if they are indeed cheating while not being in the game?

Thanks for your time. :)

you will see cheaters in low levels more since they are often perma-banned on their mains so they make new accounts regularly and spend more time in lower levels than normal players. If you want to actively fight cheating record your games and on games where there is DEFINITE PROOF cut out the clips proving the scripts and send in a support ticket (people at support have a lot of work to do so they might not have time to watch a full game so giving them the option to see just the proof makes it more likely they will do something)

Yup, just had 2 games in a row where we had to 3v5 cause of 2 bot teammates each time. They would turret dive over and over, recall immediately after walking to turret, and most of them didn't use abilities at all.

I usually look at the match history and see they've ruined ~10+ games at least, but I stopped looking at match history cause it happens too often to always check.

I'm also seeing a lot of AFK Scripts now too, people who aren't even playing but use a script to avoid AFK detection, they'll either repeatedly walk around in fountain or in jungle, but they won't attack or do anything. Some of them will actually kill jungle minions then afk for 1-2 minutes then repeat.

Riot is totally stupid now that they're owned by this Chinese company. OMG SOMEONE SAID TO GO KILL MYSELF ON THE INTERNET! I'M TOO STUPID AND MENTALLY WEAK TO UNDERSTAND IT'S THE INTERNET AND I SHOULDN'T DO THIS AND THEY PUSHED ME OVER THE EDGE!!! OMG THEY SAID "R-ETARDED" OR CALLED ME "A-UTISTIC"!!! OMGOMG!! MY FEELINGS! AND THE FEELINGS OF THOSE WITHOUT THE MENTAL CAPACITY TO EVEN UNDERSTAND WHAT THAT IMPLIES!!! OMG! SOMEONE USED A WORD OR CALLED ME A NAME THAT'S FILTERED BY THE PROFANITY FILTER THAT YOU HAVE TO DELIBERATELY TURN OFF TO SEE THE WORD/NAME!!!! OMG SOMEONE SAID SOMETHING THAT I DON'T LIKE AND I DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE THE MUTE FUNCTION!!! OMG RIOT PLEASE QUICKLY BAN THESE PEOPLE FOR WORDS!!! BECAUSE OMG WORDS AND IN THE REAL WORLD EVERYONE IS SO NICE AND POLITICALLY CORRECT OMG I CAN'T HANDLE THE INTERNET!!!

But when it comes to 3rd party programs and cheating it takes forever... You can mute people and use profanity filter... BUT OF COURSE THAT'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH! MUST BAN!!! But you try to dodge people using 3rd party programs or overall cheating... And you yourself get punished. There's no way to dodge cheaters, which actually affect game play... But they should clearly take the longest to punish! ... Because China. WATCH YOUR WORDS KIDS! WORDS ARE VERY IMPORTANT! CHEATING IS LESS IMPORTANT THAN WORDS THAT YOU CAN MUTE/IGNORE/BLOCK/PROFANITY FILTER!!

For the record, I'm not endorsing profanity or calling people names, but it's childish to set that as such a high priority given the MASSIVE amounts of scripting that's going on.

You have to send in support tickets for this. Reporting them in game will do nothing.
