This has been happening a lot lately in my ranked games. You get into game 3 minutes passes and someones afk's, not much you can do in a 4v5, game ends in a lose 90% of the time. I do not think that you should still lose 15+ LP for this, just does not seem fair by any means.
What are other peoples thoughts on this and possible fixes that riot could make?
something something math. If you are not afker yourself, 4 chances your team has afk, 5 chances the other team does. Over large sample population, you win more due to afk. something something
On the flip side, are you willing to not gain LP if there was an AFK on the enemy team?
If you are willing to be fair and accept that, how would you feel when people abuse that? If there was a close game and the enemy was salty they could AFK and make you not gain any LP that match. Surely you would rage even more when that happens.
You have to lose lp otherwise ppl(especially high elo) will abuse it. If you are losing somebody could pay you money to leave the game. It would basically make wintrading easier.
