think im just going to stop playing, no matter what happened in all of these games, one player on my team tilted into another universe over something small, and either afk'd or fed like crazy all while swearing etc. i used to play this game to wind down and relax a bit, but i cant even have fun anymore

thoughts?

You're in low Bronze, and that can be a pretty shitty environment because typically nobody wants to be there whether they belong there or not. Be liberal with muting anyone that starts being toxic and just focus on improving your gameplay.

Take some time to read guides, watch pro/high elo streams, and ask the boards for advice; like myself, you might actually find that you learn and improve the most doing that than playing.

By the looks of it you're playing on tilt even if you don't realize it after playing with some of these people. I know it can be hard but the best way to deal with it is ignore them because they crave attention. Personally if I were you I would spend more time criticizing yourself and working towards learning build paths and positioning. Almost every elo is full of these people and it can be ridiculous at times but you gotta work through it the best you can. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

ELO Hell doesn't exist. It claims you lose because your teammates are low-ELO. But there are 4 slots on your team for bad players, and 5 slots on their team for bad players. Statistically speaking, if you are better than your current MMR, you will rise. If you play 100 games and you're still Bronze 5, guess what: you're a bronze 5 skill player. The next step is to stop blaming your teammates and figure out what you're doing wrong.

I did this; it works. I took one paid one-hour lesson, and I went from bronze 4 to bronze 2 in about 3 weeks. I had been stuck in B4 for months.

learn to win lane. Learn to build for the situation.

Go to Google and check out "trading stance" videos.

Building for situations requires you to understand which damage(s) champs dish out. Which means learn the champions in game and what they can do. hint: Shyvanna is not a champ that is doing AD dmg.

I'll chime in as a low-bronze who is in the same environment. Here's my two cents:

  1. Muting shouldn't make you win more. But it does. By a lot. Like 33% more wins. I'm polite. I tell them. But even if you lose you'll be surprised how you blood isn't on fire.

  2. Talent in this game is not only a small portion, it's easily overcome. What wins games is decision making. Because maybe you can outplay me. But if I don't make risky plays, over the course of 100 engagements a game, smarter decisions outweigh skill.

  3. Don't be too discouraged. Everyone saying "each team has an equal chance of being bad!" is apparently not aware of the shockingly high level of AFK, melt-down, and troll games that exist down here. But this is why mute is so beneficial.

Edit: I just saw your link.

  1. Stop going Fill. Pick two roles, and three champs that can play both roles. Primarily play one champ, and keep the other two around in case the first gets banned. Play your third champ less than 5% of the time. And only when the 1st and 2nd options are banned.

  2. Pantheon is not top tier right now. Whatever lane you're using him in (I assume it's top) I would move him to your second or third pick. He falls off really hard when he does. He's not reliable. Try Swain, Jayce, or Trynd.

  3. Your deaths seem high. Three tips to always use:

a. Living is better than getting kills b. Towers in game are more important than your children IRL c. Fighting in the jungle is always stupid. You're going to die in there. And when you do, know that I'm laughing at you. There are no towers in the jungle.
