Really confused on this ban.

Ok I can understand me being somewhat toxic the first game, But what happened the other two games? I'm not sure if this was toxicity especially after what was said by other during those games. I don't want to blame it on other factors but over all I feel like i've had a bad day :/

Game 1: Teammate harassment - Zyra (Minor offense) Inciting a report - Kled (Flagged offense) unsportsmanlike - muting majority of teammates (Minor offense) "Re%%%ded" - inappropriate language used, (Major offense) Strike 1 <---- Future monitoring

Game 2: "hot%%%%%" - inappropriate language used, (Major offense) Strike 2 <---- Future monitoring unnecessary taunting towards opponent (ziggs) Unsportsmanlike - Minor Offense Grieving "I'm done" - Minor offense, but multiple counts this game Harassment, again, Minor offense, repeated offense

Game 3: Harassment, Repeated offense inciting a report, repeated offense

Summary: Multiple counts of harassment towards teammates, inciting reports and Use of inappropriate language. Minor punishment: 14 day ban.

There are many different levels of Toxicity, from "I'm sooo drunk~" to "STFU ass%%%%"

But Riot doesn't differentiate who, why or what reason, making a game intolerable with bad behavior is considered Toxic.

Keep this in mind at least, this is Strike 1 for you, after your ban is removed you are still flagged for future toxicity. Any other behaviors that can get you flagged (AFK, Grieving, Harassment etc), could give you a strike 2 - suspension or worse Straight to Strike 3 - Permanent ban.

You failed to realize you are wrong, and that's okay, but now that you have been warned, you have no more excuses to your future behavior. If you don't want to be Toxic, don't behave as if you are.

That's all. Good luck.

Is muting a majority of your teammates considered toxic?

I mean, I can understand that it is generally frowned upon because it cuts off communication, which is pretty important in a team based game, but when compared to being toxic, ..

And I understand that you labeled it as a minor offense, I just didn't know it was even on the list.

CrazyBear19871 votes

Well if your not communicating with the rest of the team because they are "Toxic" it's technically considered unsportsmanlike.

The mentality is: how can you hope to recover the game if you can't coordinate with your teammates?

Muting 3/4 of your teammates is passive aggressive and Playing "Passive aggressive" is not the right way do go.

Think of it this way, if your not going to communicate with your teammates, Riot will give you their permission and an excuse to do so aka a "Chat ban"

The point is to work together as a "Team" to win, even if they enemy team is arguing on the other side, if they can tilt your team more, they are more likely to win, and that's just not how the game is meant to be played.

if i was to give a point system in offence, it's like 2pts, very rare does it occur, but it's not accepted imo.

for reference saying R%%%%D or KYS or N%%%A is worth like 50pts and can push you into straight Permanent ban for sure.

It's been stated that muting your teammates isn't an offense, man, I'd be so screwed if it was. However, TELLING your teammates that you're muting them is an offense.

CrazyBear19871 votes

Hmm....makes sense, end of the day don't do it, cuz it's listed on the chat logs and doesn't look good either way

Chat logs?

Nah you were definitely toxic during all games.

Though, I don't agree with the perma-bans. It's stupid. Mild toxicity = perma-ban nowadays.

If it makes you feel better, Riot does this so we spend more money on our next account.

Beer Senpai1 votes

I'm confused how I was toxic

BeatzBoyFTW2 votes

Why would Riot even bother banning spendthrift people in the first place? If toxic players were to continue purchasing things over time, might as well not ban them anyway.

So by that logic, "spend more money on next account" is a very invalid point.

"retarded since you choose that word" (retard) can trigger people

Prevy Senpai: sosa real chamberlain Prevy Senpai: blunt just flangin Prevy Senpai: watch just blangin

Horrid Bars, shoulda got banned for this alone.

Beer Senpai1 votes

Lol! But he asked me If I was retarded, should i have not said that ? I didn't think that was toxic

I'm not sure if this was toxicity especially after what was said by other during those games.

The behavior of others will never cause Riot to consider toxic behavior justified.

Beer Senpai1 votes

I'm not trying to justify it, It's just that the varus who was griefing us is still playing right now so I'm a little salty

Elite4Runner1 votes

While I understand that would be frustrating, there is no way for me to speculate on their report history.

You have said that you have shown a history of toxic behavior in the past.

Logic would suggest that they reported you, and this behavior added to your previous record, resulting in your punishment.

It is possible that they have received similar reports in the past. I'm not sure if you reported them yourself. If not, you should have. If you did, it is possible they simply haven't accumulated enough reports to show consistent behavior.

Even still, you are only notified if your report is the 'last-straw' that triggered a review of their account.

They may have already had a review in pending, or they may have been 1 report short.

You don't know that they have not received punishment.

However, that really shouldn't make any difference to you.

All you have to do is ignore their toxic behavior, not reply with your own, and report them at the end of the match.

For some reason I can only get your link if I quote your post. I read your logs though, what kind of ban did you get?

Beer Senpai1 votes

I got a 14day-ban, I understand the first games toxicity but I don't get the last 2

jpguy9021 votes

Ah I see. Well your logs aren't super toxic but they are toxic. I understand other games are pretty lax when it comes to this stuff but Riot is pretty strict for some reason. Saying you're are giving up during a game, telling other players they suck, being passive aggressive, and just overall negative can get you punished if you do it consistently throughout the game.

Have you had chat restrictions before? If you have Riot escalates the punishments based on your previous behavior. So chat restictions lead to a two week and any punishment after that will get you a permanent ban. That being said you probably need to walk on eggshells the next couple of months. One bad game can cost you your account.

Beer Senpai1 votes

I understand riot doesn't care about context, but everything here is out of focus and out of context. Everything I said that was deemed toxic were only responses to toxicity. I really wish riot would show the context of the chat. but yes I've had one chat restriction before and thanks for your advice

jpguy9021 votes

Yeah I understand why you're frustrated. Being punished only for only responding to other toxicity feels unfair. However when you lower yourself to their level you subject yourself to punishment.

Years ago Riot had the Tribunal. They would include the entire games' chat log from everyone. Then other members of the community would judge whether the player should be punished or not. It was fun to be apart of but its gone now.

Good luck to ya!

You're asking other people to report. That alone is an offense.

Beer Senpai1 votes

ah I just didn't want him to ruin other peoples games, so I told the enemy team what he was doing. I guess I shouldn't try to type back at all when I need to communicate to win :(

Elite4Runner1 votes

Multiple reports during a single match don't actually add any more weight or evidence against the offender.

The word "report" is a flagged word
