100% proof that mass reporting gets you punished

I was playing a normal game with 4 premade people. They were being toxic all game to the point of where they literally told me to die at the end. Now mind you I was NOT being toxic to them and I have the logs to prove it. This single game of me being reported by all 4 of them at the end resulted in me getting a 25 game chat restriction.

Asking for reports is considered toxic behavior, and a lot of what you said ranges from simply negative to outright toxic.

You had a negative attitude (one of the report options) throughout the entire game. This is 100% proof of nothing. You were toxic by negative attitude and thus you got punished. It has nothing to do with 1 or 4 reports.

Which need not be the result of the fact that you got reported by all 4 of them.

Basically, your 100% proof starts right off the bat with an unproven assumption, and then follows up with the classic post hoc ergo propter hoc fallacy (X happened after Y, therefore X was the result of Y). Your "proof" - despite being impressively short - contains two major flaws.

And while certainly more mild than most logs I see on this subforum you were antagonizing and taunting them. If this is the way you behave frequently, I'd say a chat restriction is perfectly fair.

You threatened to afk numerous times, looks like you're crying in all chat, and you're being extremely passive aggresive. Deserved ban, do you ereally thionk we're this stupid or are you just that dillusional?

You don't have to convince anyone OP. Everyone will believe what they want to believe. And trust me, it doesn't matter whether you can convince anyone here or not because no one here holds the power to revert your punishment.

Back on topic. The problem here isn't that you got to their desk for a manual review because of multiple reports in a particular match. The problem here is that anything innately close to being 'Negative' behavior can get you punished and that you did have stuff in your logs which they could label as being 'Negative'.

Riot's policy is just how it is. Next time, mute and report. If you can't deal with it and feel like you're about to pop a vein without flaming or arguing back, just get off the game and take a break. Less of a punishment for that as opposed to saying something to a premade and then getting punished for it like this! [slayer-pantheon-popcorn]

And you should be even more careful now because the next one would be a 2-week suspension. Be cautious! Don't even try to argue anymore. I'd suggest simply muting everyone once you get into the game and then doing whatever you need to do.

This is your second punishment, and you still think your behavior is perfect even when told precisely what's wrong with it. Either take responsibility for your own actions or you'll eventually get a permaban.

Unlike the whitenkights here, MANY of us believe you are not wrong at all.

Riot is much more interested in banning players

riot says that 1x or 4x or 9x doesn't matter, but it does. I've seen multiple times where someone was only "somewhat" negative like above and get instant feedback simply because we all agreed to report them.

I've also seen homophobic and racially motivated slurs go unpunished because only one person reports.

The fact is, riot cant say "Your 1x report matters just as much" and "if your reports are flagged as false, they have less of an effect" at the same time. It simply doesn't make sense AT ALL.

The fact is, riot doesn't care about actually carrying out a good system - they only care about appearing that a system helps people make their feelers feel better - it gives a tool to toxic kids to report players, and doesn't punish real toxicity - like trolling and soft inting.

The truth is, the system is broke but they don't want to spend money on human review, so they just role with it and flash ESPORTS everywhere and damn any sense of negativity in the public eye.
