So this is something that needs to be seriously addressed. The amount of verbal and sheer hatred that some players can muster up towards others just for this game is sickening. Don't get me wrong I can get a bit worked up over it but never to the point where i will tell someone "kys" which is an acronym for "kill yourself". Riot needs to punish these gamers much more vigorously and make an example of them. Make a stand as a major gaming corporation that you will not stand for it either. Attentively monitored by employees at Riot. People play this game to have fun and enjoy themselves, yes I understand everywhere in the world there is hate and bullying -primarily over video games- but, it should not under any circumstances be tolerated. I have been playing LoL with my brother and friends for over 5 years. Dedicated countless hours of my time into playing it and also money. I do not pay for hatred I play to enjoy myself. Suicide is a huge problem in the world and too many people are too ignorant to understand how influential their words can be toward others. If only players see this post I want all of you to really think to yourself for a moment. How would you feel to be told to end your life? Or if you heard someone tell your loved ones or friends to do it? Telling someone they are garbage because they can't land a Q? Imagine these words actually making someone go through with it? You might as well be held responsible for murder. Telling someone to end their life isn't funny or "cool" it's pathetic and their should be no tolerance for it, especially in a vastly growing community. Communities are meant to be uplifting and have one anothers backs. That is the point of League of Legends. It is a team based game. you have to rely on one another to get anywhere in it. Players are now making it a game of smack talk and hate speech. I encourage anyone who comes across this to share it with League players and visit the link in the description.

I'm going to be the bad guy here Who is going to pay for riot to monitor all the concurrent games? How would you feel to be told to end your life? I would 2 shits, I care little what an online person says. Or if you heard someone tell your loved ones or friends to do it? If someone in league tells someone who is related to me in my game to go die. I'd give 2 shits, why because I don't want to interfere with my families agency in their life. I would respect their choice Telling someone they are garbage because they can't land a Q? If you miss skillshots, you need practice. Imagine these words actually making someone go through with it? Woah, Imagine hang on a sec. Imagine, if the Moon was Flat, the earth was a sqaure WoW imagining is great.

If you are mentally unstable, that a single typed word from some anonymous player in a video game that you interacted with for maybe around an hr Is enough to directly influence your life, there is a problem on your end. That exceeds what LEAGUE of LEGENDS can do. League is not a counseling service Sorry

To be honest while your point is understandable, if it could be done, Riot would had done it already. It's pretty clear majority of leagues player base are teenagers with emotional stress on their lifes that cuss In a videogame because they feel inferior in real life. Riot understands this and that is why they are not as strict as you want. They don't want their game becoming a ghost town.

If you're at the point where you're following through with whatever negative action purely because of what someone said online, you need help.

The problem is more so you than it is with the vast majority of people who can handle it.

If it were persistent, more malicious cyberbullying, then yeah, sure.

This would be like punishing people in real life for saying anything that wasn't super positive.

Riot could just block out the string of phrases but then it gets weird because of context

ie. 'kill yourself' blocked with a contextual setting such as 'kill yourself at enemy base to distract them while we baron.' granted the wording is a bit extreme but it conveys the premise clearly.

There's a balance that exist on both sides. League has become quite competitive and unfortunately with competition comes that kind of talk. While they are doling out more and more punishments; users also need to realize what they are stepping into. I'd dis-recommend people who are at a state where they are so imbalanced to play the game in the first place.

I just hope an actual Riot employee or trusted volunteer reads the reports I send about toxic players. I report a minimum of 2 players literally every single game for being extremely toxic in every imaginable way.

LoL has had a very bad reputation for having one of the worst communities in online gaming, and I'm seeing proof of that to this day. This tells me that Riot, although does ban players for bad behavior, isn't trying nearly hard enough to make a noticeable difference.

The main reason I refuse to give Riot any money for their microtransactions is because they don't take care of this issue. Why would I spend money on a game that I get very little enjoyment from purely because of the player base behavior? Their actions are causing a direct loss of my business, I hope they understand that.
