More Questions and Clarity on 14-Suspension ( Ticket Was Submitted)

I would like more clarity upon my 14-day suspension which was given on September 15.

I believe I was ban due to the Report bots detecting my chat as being "toxic" through my chat lines. Within my lines I said "kys" and "end my lyfe" such as in "Kisheen: the botlane both said kys to me ;-;" and "Kisheen: the botlane both said kys and end my lyfe".

For context, my botlane was really toxic towards me and kept bashing me along with pinging any mistakes. They told me to end my life and other such insults. Then both report me after this game.

I just wanted to inform the enemy team to report them. Other than this, I believe I was nice and not toxic, the only other parts I feel are suspense-able are my other lines which could be interpreted as "sarcasm" but I only said them after my botlane did good plays. Also another part I feel is suspense-able to notifying the other team to report them, but I feel this is still unjust due to me just wanting justice. To add on, one may say "adding flame to the fire" or muting them, but I forgotten this in the moment due to this action not being 2nd nature to me.

In conclusion, I would like more clarity on my ban, and wanting to know the reasons behind why reports , under ANY circumstances, may be considered a bannable offense. I was unaware that one report allows someone to get ban, so even still that I am unban, I believe this information needs to be more public to the player base of league. Also I am unaware of asking for reports is bannable therefore this information also needs to more public to the player base of league.

Another solution I have is notifying and letting players know to mute people. If the Riot report system can detect toxicity and negative words, I propose that if same such words that are detected in a live game, should notify the player to mute or recommend the player to mute the player.

Update: I was already submitted a ticket and received a response from Riot support which was this.

Greetings Kisheen,

A 2 week suspension was placed on your account because of recent in-game behavior which created a negative experience for other players. For the specific chat logs which led to the ban please log into the client where you can view your reform card. I looked into the game in question and I agree with the placement of the suspension on your account. Regardless of who was saying these things first, this does not warrant the use of this phrase again for you to say.

In the future just mute the player who is saying these things and report them after the game. I understand the want to let other players on the other team know about their behavior but it only takes one report for us to take action on a player so there was no need to spread this negativity.

We will not be lifting the suspension due to the negativity observed.

Keep in mind that if audited again for negative behavior your account will be permanently suspended. The good news is that most players will never reach that level of punishment. In fact, most players who have been warned or suspended are able to change their behavior completely; I am confident that with the right attitude you can avoid any bans in the future.

Submit a support ticket. This may have been a false positive.

Those words do not need to be said in any context.

You could have rephrased it as, "They urged self-harm" if you thought you really needed to address it.

But, asking for people to report someone else, or talking about what they're doing wrong are both reportable and punishable.

One report is just as good as 365 reports, x9 reports, or any other number of reports. Any report makes the IFS review the match. More reports.....make the IFS review the match. No difference. So, there is no use in displaying other's misdeeds. Just remember, and report after the game.

Riot has taken a zero tolerance policy on certain words - hate speech and threats/encouraging harm are the two biggest categories. For things like "kys" and similar, Riot has taken a policy that, while not perfect, goes a long way to reduce the use of those words. As a part of this policy, Riot doesn't allow the words to be used ever. That means repeating, even in quotes, is not permitted. As the support agent said, it only takes one report to get the player's games looked at - so there's no need to inform anyone else of their behavior.

If Riot were not to take this kind of stance, people would be able to claim they were repeating it, or they'd thought someone else had said it, etc. There are certain words that are so unacceptable so as to just merit a zero tolerance policy. While I understand it's frustrating for you to be caught in the crossfire, know that there's a lot more negativity being removed faster because of escalated, fast punishments for this type of behavior. I know that doesn't make you feel better necessarily, but hopefully it can provide a bigger picture. Sometimes for the good of a community there has to be hard lines taken against certain behavior.

Further, as the support agent said, many people don't ever do this kind of thing again - I'm pretty sure that now you know how seriously Riot takes this extreme negativity (hate speech/harm/etc) that you won't think of even repeating it again.

Oh, I think they meant the negative behavior of trying to get people to report your teammates instead of just reporting them yourself and not causing more drama.

You kept bringing it up and that was the negative behavior you were punished for. Not the fact that you asked people to report them but the fact that you kept poking and prodding at it.

There's no point in poking and prodding at it and trying to bring other people into the drama. Just leave it alone and report it and let them get in trouble. Don't continue the drama.

I admit your chat isn't bad but you need to not repeat what others say. The enemy team doesn't need to know about the drama going on in your team chat (they don't care honestly). If you're hoping for more reports then that is not necessary. Remember 1 report is the same as 9. Just takes 1 to flag the chat.
