what's the difference between banned and suspension?

So recently I got suspended and I did my 14 days, But then I got banned because i reacted to someone talking trash to me and being toxic, I never cussed or said anything that would offend that person and they reported me, I also got reported by my own teammates just because they were having a bad game and they were blaming me for everything. I found out after that game I got Banned instead of being suspended. What's is the difference of ban and suspension? Will I ever get my account back or is it history? Can anyone help me?

In terms of those actual words, there's no difference.

Not exactly sure if that's what you're asking is though. Are you saying you had a 14 day ban, and then got permabanned?

There isn't a difference. For account punishments, there are only Chat Restrictions (10 or 25 games) and Account bans/suspensions (14 days or permanent).

So I am guessing I lost my account forever because it got perma banned..But I heard that Tyler1 was able to get his account back?

No. Tyler1 will never get any of his permabanned accounts back. If he passes the standards Riot set out, he will no longer be banned from playing (streaming really) League (currently, any accounts IDed as his get instantly permabanned. That's what will possibly be changed)

He is not getting any of his many permanently banned accounts back. Tyler1 is subject to a "identity ban" - i.e. he is not permitted to access Riot services or League of Legends at all, and if he is caught doing so the account(s) he is using are immediately permanently banned. He will be eligible in a month or so to ask Riot to review that "identity ban", after which time if it is lifted he can create a new account and start from scratch. None of his permanently banned accounts will be given back, however.

More or less, yes, you've permanently lost your account due to continued negative behavior after your 14 day ban. We may be able to provide you insight to the punishment if you share your chat logs from the Reform Card, but we can't do anything about the ban; you'd want to contest the ban with player support in a Support Ticket, though it's highly unlikely it'd be removed.

tyler1 is not getting his account(s) back. He as a player is banned from playing League at all; if that "player ban" is lifted he can create new accounts and start playing again (publicly at least, without being banned on sight), but he will not get his perma'd accounts back. This is significantly different from players having their accounts banned and returned to them.

I've always tried to use "suspension" for the 2-week, since that sounds more temporary than a ban. But, folks get confused when there's a protective account hold, which sounds better as a suspension as well.

I agree that a protective account lock probably sounds better as a "suspension", but honestly, players don't really care what it's called if they can't play XD If the terminology is confusing to players, Riot should take a look at what their messages are telling them (I haven't seen the new ones, but they did make some changes to better inform players this year).

Technically speaking a suspension means you're suspended from the game for a while where as a ban means you're banned from the game.

That being said bane is used both as in a 14 day ban because you're banned from the game for 14 days so to tell the difference people use the term permaban.

As for what happened, once you're on 14 day suspension/ban you're on thin ice and almost anything negative can you permabanned. If you reacted to the toxicity in a negative manner Riot considers it you haven't learned your lesson from your 14 day suspension warning there for you're outta here, the chances of you getting your account unbanned is slim, it usually only happens in rare cases where the ban is unjust but most of the time it is completely just and the account stays banned.
