My account was banned for "using 3rd party addons". I have not used anything like that. One thing I did recently which I suspect might have caused this is rebinding move to mousewheel down in the config file. It helps me spam move much quicker for kiting on kogmaw. My theory is by using mousewheel to move, LoL saw me clicking more then "humanly possible"? Anyone else been banned and done this recently?
Modmar2 votesChanging LoL files is banworthy to any extent. I'm not sure they will ban this though, and many recently got banned for literally nothing, so I expect some kind of revert/in-depth analysis. So maybe check if you get an e-mail within the next 2 weeks about it.

Iqqi2 votesPeople change keybindings all the time. That is hardly a ban worthy offense. Now if you had keybindings set to custom macros that did things like push QWER or something like that which allows you to submit commands faster than any human could... that might be, but a quick google search I could not find anything. Either way make sure you contact Riot.
Tanktric1 votesI would understand a ban for a QWER macro. I only changed it in the config files because the in game gui doesnt allow you to bind anything to mousewheel. I've contacted them and only got a canned response, with my ticket closed. Its like they dont even read them.

A lot of people change the key bind files. If this was a real bannable offense Riot would have to be much more forward with what is or is not a bannable offense. I mean the only reason people do this to begin with is because Riot refuses to update the existing keybind system which they have kept for 6 years to modern times.
I mean heck we can easily go online. See enemy teams runes, masteries, K/D/A champion played count... etc. etc. A lot of important things. All fair and game because they are easily accessible to anyone and everyone. Same goes with changing keybindings.

TheLastShadow451 votesI didn't. There was a post about two months ago where a guy changed config files like this guy and got permaban for it. He then posted to the boards and a rioter even said changing configs is against the ToS.
