i get loot/chat banned when someone starts with me and i just defend myself.

I understand that two wrongs dont make a right, but when i get flamed in chat for doing and saying absolutely nothing to someone. i just defend myself and i get banned when the toxic kid who started the whole thing probably gets nothing. The riot tribunal system or whatever they have going on, its complete trash in my opinion. I get banned for defending myself from the cave trolls that inhabit this game. Its almost like the rule of thumb for league should be just instant mute everyone in the game or you get banned. (this happened in URF. a game mode created for fun???)

You're defending yourself the wrong way. Just mute and report, no need to spawn to harassment. It only gets you punished in the end

Self-defense is not the same thing as retaliation.

If you say anything negative about the other player then the system will consider it toxic.

If you're defending yourself you don't need to mention the other player at all.

For example:

Other player: "You're int-feeding, stop it."

Wrong response: "Shut up you're 0/6, you fed them enough that they can kill me. This is your fault!"

Correct response: "No I'm not, I'm trying hard but they keep countering me. They are just too strong!"

You never get punished for a first time offense, even if someone goes afk, the first time you get a warning, not a punishment. You don't have to mute everyone, you just ignore them because you would be lucky to see a player more than once in urf. You can defend yourself, but did your "defense" attack another player. The tribunal is gone, a bot validates chat reports to check if you said something that is flame(or toxic).

A good rule of thumb is ignore chat unless they point out a mistake that you can fix, or tell useful game info.

If you feel like what you said shouldn't be punished(regardless of what anyone else said) send a ticket and Rito will check your chat logs.

You said "probably gets nothing", if you report them, they will get something if they are toxic, especially if this isn't their first time.

Unfortunately for me i fed into the drama and yes it only got me banned. I accept the consequences, but i dont like how i have to be so passive in order to avoid being banned. People that start something should be instant banned. Maybe i have a short fuse but people ALWAYS tend to start with me when im being passive to begin with.

I agree on you on this thread. I am a person who does NOT back down from someone talking sh-t to me or even flaming so of course I have to right back. But yet you get reported or banned because either their duo/trio etc reports you also, or you had some previous report on you. Let's be honest, riot doesn't give a damn about what was really exactly said, more over just who got more reports in the game and on going, I've come to realize that sadness. They need to understand that there's "defending yourself" and "talking trash" difference. I guarantee that HARDLY anyone will make that response down there. The (Correct response: "No I'm not, I'm trying hard but they keep countering me. They are just too strong!") because one, it sounds nerdy and kind of dumb, and two.. they're firing shots at you and they expect you not to do the same?? That's stupid.

It's like someone you're fighting IRL and they hit you and you run and tell your mommy/daddy. What's that going to do? Make you look like a p--sy.. And I do NOT stand for that. This game's reports and punishments are like baby things.

I don't condole fighting or talking trash but when someone starts with you, they NEED and SHOULD be put in their place. And honestly, don't talk about rank because WOW, you're plat+ in game? You MUST be soooo successful in life huh? I hate when idiots make a comeback saying "What rank are you".. So stupid.
