See the chat logs if you want. No 14 day ban just a straight perm ban for what? Giving up in a 4v5 that we were already down 5 turrets, an inhib and 2 drags with Baron about to spawn. So the Lucian on my team can go 0/5 and rage quit and 'maybe' get a 5 game 20 min cool down but I say a couple naughty words and just try and make these kids end the game faster and i'm the fucking bad man who needs to be perm'd. Ridiculous.

Not to mention the kid on the other team flaming me the entire time and I had to use all my willpower not to reply, lol. Hit him with a report after coz I'm a mad lad and doubt he even got banned for it.

We seriously need a better way to handle 'toxic' players. Use chat restrictions, if some one is a cry baby and constantly reports people for mean words remind them that there is a chat filter and maybe even force them into using it and hell remind them that there's also a fucking mute button that takes all of 2 seconds to use. We're all fucking adults, we've grown up alongside the game stop treating us like fucking children and giving us a time out for saying naughty words. Pathetic nanny state game.

It's definitely not a great log, and does use crass sexual pejoratives, but I wouldn't expect it to get a straight-up permanent ban. Had your account had previous punishments of any kind? This behavior (specifically the crass sexual term) can escalate an account that previously had a chat restriction, but if you didn't I'd send a ticket in to Player Support.

They used growing chat restrictions in the past. Their data showed that that model didn't work as well as the current system at removing toxicity. So it was indeed something they thought would work, and tried.

That said, the mute button is designed as protection, not as an excuse to attack. Consider it similar to a kevlar-woven vest -- it'll save you from a knife slash, but the fact that you're wearing one doesn't make it OKAY to attack you with knives. I'm a fucking adult. I've played League since pre-season 1. I'd rather NOT be insulted during a game. Does it make me go home and cry and think terrible things about myself? No...it's just obnoxious, and I'd rather have a team of friendly players every time. Given the choice between two equally fun experiences -- one alongside friendly people and one alongside jerks who try to offend me -- I'll pick the former every time. League wants to be that better experience.
