Hello everyone, I just want you to read my chat logs and point out what was so toxic about this, sadly we all know all chats are taken out of context and I personally believe that it is undeserved, because if you would see full chat, at least half of people out there would realize that I was not mad at all, just making dumb jokes. Think whatever you want, riot said their system is perfect, therefore it is, we deal with it.[slayer-jinx-wink]

My chat logs as a reason for 14 day suspension( < blah blah = my comments):

It's an edge case. However, the 14-day ban suggests that you already have a history of chat restrictions. Over the internet, what you consider a joke could come off as insulting or passive-aggressive, especially calling people boosted or complaining about their skill (see: game 1 Eve comment) - which is hard to justify as a "joke."

It seems like you are justifying a lot of what you said in the first game with, "can't take a joke?". And the people you were talking probably wasn't taking the joke, so why continue?

Second game you were tossing out insults.

Third game, overall negative passive aggressive attitude in chat.

So yeah, I believe the ban was deserved.

Honestly you were being pretty whiney sounding and not the kind of person I would want to play with.

I probably wouldn't report you, but I also don't report much. I can definitely see why you would get reported.

Note that the severity of the punishment is based on how many times you deserve a punishment. Each time Riot decides you deserve a punishment you get a worse one stacking up to permaban.

Yea. Instead of playing you continued arguments with your teammates, you were passive aggressive, you just kept the flames going instead of letting things lie.

Learn to just report and move on or your next punishment is a perma.

Game 1:

You claim that it was a joke but given Vel'Koz's state of mind you should have known that he wouldn't have taken it as a joke.

Passive-aggressiveness and claiming that someone got boosted. I don't care if you meant it as a joke, you don't joke around about things like this, you just don't.

Spamming, self-explanatory.

Not allot of stuff that I would personally punish for, but you make allot of rather sarcastic remarks that could come off as report/punish worthy.

My verdict: Punish (simply and mostly because I know that I wouldn't enjoy playing with someone with this kind of behavior).

Game 2:

Immediately we start out with a passive-aggressive remark and an insult because of someones grammar. Joke or not, don't say these kinds of things.

Insult directed towards a pre-made group, You know it's bad if it has to be censored here.

Passive-aggressive comments and giving up early. None are helpful.

My verdict: Punish.

Game 3:

Negative sarcastic and unsportsmanlike comment. Not needed, even if you meant it as a joke.

Pretty tame. Some less than desirable comments from you here sure, but I'm on the fence about this one honestly. I still wouldn't want to play with this kind of behavior though personally.

My verdict: Punish.

Conclusion: You have a habit of making allot of sarcastic remarks that also tend to be passive-aggressive and/or insulting/negative as well also. You claim that they were jokes but keep in mind that not everyone finds these kinds of "jokes" funny or humorous, especially if they're also insults as well. Keep in mind that because this is just text people often have no way of knowing if what you're saying is a joke or not, especially if you don't even make the effort to state that it was meant to be a joke.

My Advice:

  • If you're gonna make a comment that you intend to be a joke, make sure that you state that it is a joke also. Otherwise you have no right to try to pass it off as a joke if you make no effort to state that it is in fact a joke.
  • There are some things that you just don't joke about, such as claiming that someone will go on a losing streak just because of their grammar. Not everyone has English as their primary language, and even if it is often times there's just simply not enough time in a match to use proper grammar in a sentence. Be mindful and more respectful of that in the future.
  • Don't use racial slurs or anything that you know that the filter has to censor. If it's not helpful or constructive or appropriate then just don't say it at all whatsoever.

My overall and final verdict on this case: Punish.

P.S. This is definitely not the worst case that I've seen but ultimately it came down to the question "would I want to play with this kind of person in-game?", hence the uneasy/sketchy punish verdicts on games 1 and 3.

Trusting banned people at face value isn't exactly advised.

well if you find my post read my chat logs I sent a ticket to support asking if I got a 2 week ban for just this one game and they told me yes. as you see you can go straight to a 2 week ban for being sarcastic towards players.

I'm sorry you felt that my message was automated but it was not. Being sarcastic towards other players has always been a punishable offensive as it's clearly not a positive way to act. If you want to act that way with your friends, that's up to you but behaving like that in League has never been OK.

In this case, it's seems clear that you were being sarcastic towards other players to antagonize them and that's also not OK. It's also very apparent that your teammates did not appreciate the way you were interacting towards them and, even after they told you this in no uncertain terms, you continued to make fun of them. That's not acceptable and it's always been possible to get a 2 week ban for this behavior; it looks like that's what happened here. As a result, the 2 week ban of this account was appropriate and we won't be lifting it.

You're free to make any boards posts you want but it won't affect our stance on this issue. If you have no new concerns, I'll have to consider this matter closed.
