I had done practically nothing, and was trying to be positive. I had made sure to say nothing offensive, Graves didn't gank and I was getting camped by Diana. Don't really think this is permaban worthy at all...
What advice would you give to the youth of the world who are thinking of turning toxic but may be able to turn their lives around before getting a life sentence like you did?

Report begging/ Calling is considered toxic, and is unnecessary.
1 report is all that is needed to flag a match for review.
Perma bans do not happen because of just one game. (unless hate speech, ect is involved)
The severity of punishment is based on previous punishments:
1st strike - 10 game chat ban 2nd strike - 25 game chat ban 3rd strike - 14 day full ban 4th strike - perma
You did not do anything to warrant skipping strikes in this match, which means you have been previously punished 3 times already.
There is no "Tribunal" since 2013.
It's a strike system. Four strikes and you're out. A strike disappears after 3 months of no punishments (getting a strike). That was probably why. It doesn't have to be severe enough by itself. It just has to be enough to warrant another strike.
