What does riot do to stop people who flame via messages that are not in a game?

Other than blocking there needs to be a way to report this offensive content. Verbal abuse is not only in the game riot! :D

Hey nerdboy, while this is a perfectly good conversation to have on this board, we don't allow Name & Shame/player reporting on the boards as per the Universal Rules, so I've edited out your linked image. It tends to lead to unnecessary drama or even the harassment of other players, and mods can't take action against in-game/client behavior.

If you have questions or concerns about this action please visit us in the PB&M channel of the Moderation Discord here.

Concerning what Riot can do, honestly you need to not accept requests from toxic players after a game, or if you do accept a request (let's say you don't recognize the name) and start being flamed you really should just block them. You can submit a support ticket with screenshots of the behavior, but player support isn't guaranteed to help you out when you aren't utilizing the block feature as you should.

Just block them? It's not like in a game where taking time to mute and closing off communication impacts your game.

I suppose if you submit a ticket with the screenshot something might come of it, but if it were me i'd just block them and move on.

Screenshot for proof and submit a ticket. As far as I know riot won't allow toxicity in game or out.
