These are the logs from a game I played last night, I dont see how this can be turned against me and I get punished for 2 weeks all because I said the N word. I didnt even use the er, used an a, the fact that this is considered racist just makes me very confused. I'm black and I always refer to my friends as my Ni**as, this is the way I was addressing it in the chat log. Also, the eve on my team was running it to my zoe, the zoe was being very toxic aswell. But I think that this is just absolutely ridiculous getting banned for something as little as that.

Yes, I agree that this gives me no right to say this, but the entire other team was also being very toxic towards us and just calling us idiots. But I understand what you're saying.

Other players' comments don't lessen the penalty for your own.

If you choose to play league in the future, I strongly recommend taking advantage of the setting that lets you completely disable all chat in game since you can't handle other players' negativity without spewing hate and blaming your own team.

There are 4 tiers of punishment:

  1. 10 game chat restriction
  2. 25 game chat restriction
  3. 14-day ban
  4. permaban

The hate speech you used caused you to skip punishment tiers into a 14-day ban punishment. When normally your chat would probably cause you to get a chat restriction.

That said, your account is now on thin ice. Even something as simple as noob calling or asking for reports can get you punished again and permabanned.

If you value your account, I suggest you don't say anything in chat.

"classes" are a lot shorter than a work day and then coming home to sleep because you're physically exhausted while juggling classes. I get in 2-3 games a day max (only if my friend is on, otherwise it's 1). Even with a 100% winrate it would take me a month to hit diamond if I played 1 game a day.

If i'm being honest, I refer to almost everyone as nia, except my family. This is just how i've always been and in my opinion I dont think it's offensive. If any "N" word is offensive it's the er Nia with an a is not meant to be offensive at all. Most young people and even some old people call each other their ni**as. Hope you see what i'm trying to get at.

a) I have no idea why you'd expect somebody you've never met in a video game to know this about you. b) I have no idea why you'd think your opinion of the word supersedes the opinions of others. You're black, you know how serious the n-word can be. c) You should probably stop using it IRL, too. I don't know how old you are, but talking like that is the verbal equivalent of a face tattoo. You're constantly advertising how unemployable you are. d) You need to respect differences in location. If you're in the city and everybody's saying it, that's fine. That shit's not universal. I've got a couple black friends that absolutely HATE that word, hard-R or no.

So there's a no tolerance for hate speech, which ou clearly used in your logs. This type of behavior normally skips chat restrictions and goes straight to a 2-week ban. There isn't a reason, nor rationalization, available that would make such terms ok to use in league of legends.

Additionally, you seemed to harass your jungler, calling out their score, as well as alluding to them having mental deficiencies. This behavior is similarly not tolerated.

If you disagree, you should submit a support ticket; however, I find it unlikely this punishment would be overturned.

It's a bad way of coping w/ losing, but I've been like this ever since i started playing this game 5 years ago.

It's not only you, studies show that swearing helps cope with stress and pain and make it more tolerable.

Just yesterday I tried to explain people here that the ban system doesn't work anyways, the best solution is already the mute button and flaming have its benefits so cancel the IFS.

It's somewhat relative though. Whenever I curse in anger, it feels more like an excuse than a sense of relief. There are times where I've even felt petty for having to use aggressive wording, just to justify my stress. I realize this differs from person to person, but I figured I'd add my two cents, for that very reason.

Swearing and insulting are 2 different things. Also swearing only helps cope with stress when you SAY it not when you type it. Saying "This jungler is a retard" out loud is fine. Typing it isnt.
