I'm not sure how I received an escalation for a temp suspension
Backstory:
Been permanently banned on 1 this account. Before the permanent ban, I had 1 vulgar name. After the permanent ban was lifted, I was forced to change my name. I changed it to another, less vulgar name over a year ago. It isnt a name that anybody found offensive. If anything, It was just kind of gross, but anyone mentioning my name laughed at it. So anyway, after the permanent ban, I reformed. No issues at all. Come a little over a year later, 4 days ago, I receive a 7 day suspension for the name I chose over a year ago. Keep in mind, not a single riot support agent mentioned anything about my name when I submitted numerous tickets. Must not be that bad if they had no problem addressing me by my name?
During an ARAM match, a teammate of mine was flamming the other team. I kept telling him to stop it or else he'll receive a perma. It was pretty bad. Guess what was on the enemy team? A group of 4 players who had been playing together all night. My guess is that when they decided to report my teammate for the verbal abuse, they decided to continue on and "lol hey lets get this guy for his name, too hahah". I said not a single word during that match to the enemy team, nor my team except for telling the rager that he had to stop or else he would be banned.
20 minutes later, I get a notification for a 7 day suspension due to my name. I'm pretty sure not a single person found it actually offensive, and that the group of 4 on the other team thought it would be funny to also report me. Lovely player base. Anyway, I contest the suspension, mentioning not a single riot agent said anything about my name while chatting over submitted tickets. They refuse, even when I mentioned to them that my honor climbed drastically after the permanent suspenion, my in-game chats are always positive now, and that I even received notifications on my awareded keys that I had over 125% higher honors than the average player. They still refused. I asked to be transfered to someone else. He/she chimes in with his 2 cents, I ask him a question, no answer and immediately transferred to someone else saying "bad news, I've upgraded your suspension to two weeks because of your name. I'm closing this ticket and no further response will be needed"
My question here is this: Why did I receive an upgraded suspenion from 7 days to two weeks? Is it because I contested the 7 day suspension over a name I chose well over a year ago??? I don't understand how riot support can treat customers like this. Was this really retribution for arguing the original 7 day suspension? I was polite in the conversation
