Came back to league and left immediately due to toxicness.

Been playing since Season 4, as a try hard Diana main naturally. Highest I've been is Gold 1 and I played in two leagues hosted by my former university. I come back to playing after taking a break from all of the toxic game behavior for over a month or so and the state of player behavior is EXACTLY the same, if not worse. Someone gives first blood, flame them. Someone starts to feed/fall behind, flame them and deny them resources so they have less of a chance to comeback into the match because "I need to carry because you are trash." Blitzcrank misses a relatively easy pull or even a pretty difficult pull, flame him. Too many players who use misogynistic, homophobic, racist, and ableist language against everyone when they receive negative outcomes in this game. A person on my team called someone autistic for making a bad play or some bullshit EVERY SINGLE DAY in the week I returned. And least two people used n-word casually and in frustration over the course of a game. The only way I can apparently play this game is with all chat and pings muted, but if I wanted to play a single-player RPG that's point and click, I'd just play Diablo 3 (and that community is way more engaged and positive). I played League to sate my competitive nature and desire to work with other people, ya know, social interaction and whatnot. I love when my team plays hard with one another and works together, win or lose because at one point I actually really enjoyed this game. This is not the game I used to enjoy, the one I put money and a ton of time towards. I don't know what Riot can do to make actually improvements to make a dent on toxic game behavior and toxic players, but I don't want my first thought when League loads up to be, "Do I want to deal with toxic teammates today?" Smash that uninstall button.

Thanks for reading my rant, if you did.

It's what the community has dwindled down into.

Almost every comment is negative towards the OP or passive aggressive LOL good job all of you. I commend everyone here that plays league and fits perfectly into the mold of players of this game.

It's sucky that you dealt with toxic players. Riot is trying but ultimately there's only so much Riot can do.

It's the nature of competitive games and to be honest... most video game communities aren't the most mature.

Riot's chat restrictions and temp bans are attempts to make people understand that there are certain types of behaviors that are unacceptable and those tend to be the immature and inappropriate flames and harassment and what not.

Some people learn and understand that it's unacceptable, others just stay angry and say "how dare Riot try to censor me." The latter are the ones Riot tries to permaban but ultimately can't keep out because IP bans are easily circumvented and often have affect inadvertent targets like IP banning colleges screws a large chunk of campus for one jerk.

Man if only Riot would put in a mute button in the game so we could avoid other players venting frustration [sg-janna]

Try finding a random group on the league of legends discord or the reddit league discord. Most people there are just looking for fun and are less likely to flame.

"Too many players who use misogynistic, homophobic, racist, and ableist language against everyone when they receive negative outcomes in this game." I never see any of this because the toxic ones know what to say to avoid the ban hammer. I usually see soft inting, spam pinging and people playing dumb to what theure doing to make it seem like thwyre doing nothing wrong at all. Also they make passive aggressive remarks.

Don't worry Perma banning works. Just give them time and they will ban every single player. poof no more toxic.

Be sure to never play any competitive online games in that case then.
