I have received a 14 day ban today I have never been banned before. I feel nothing i said was threatening or extremely toxic. Is this normal procedure in League of Legends? i feel this is a very extreme ban for this i never have received a prior warning or anything. If someone could please look into this situation and give me some more clarity.

Hate speech is not tolerated here for any reason, and is punishable by an immediate 14 day ban. I understand you think this is severe and without warning, but offensive homophobic slurs like are extreme, and the 14 day ban is the warning that continuing to show negative behavior can result in a permanent ban. This is a chance to learn, and I hope you take it; we don't want to deal with this sort of treatment any more than you want to lose your account over it.
LegendofPorkchop1 votesWell its just the matter of punishment doesn't fit the crime. Either way riot needs to make it so people can just disable chat entirely i dont need to talk to anyone in my games to play anyway. This once this ban is lifted i will be muting and ignoring people in my games.

Extreme toxicity's (normally hate speech, racism, sexism, telling people to harm themselves) first punish is 14-day ban. Same with ELO boosting and intentional feeding.
If you have chatlogs, post it here and we'll be able to tell you whether it was extreme toxicity.

If i would a received a warning i would have been more careful or thought about what i was doing. Even after this game i was questioning why i was getting angry. Also to add i thought it was a ranked but it was only a normal so i was really confused as to what my teammates were doing as in ranked i was not seeing this mistakes. If had a received a warning i would of had some self reflection and said to myself "Hey what are you doing this is just a game, we all have goals in this game and are playing for fun." I 100% understand there was no need for me to rage at my teamates and there is not excuse for what i did.

This isn't being caught speeding, this is being caught going 100+ miles per hour drag racing down a neighborhood street at 2 AM. Hate speech is that severe that it's in a much different class than is just "normal" toxicity.

I 100% thought it was ranked did not know it was normal, i play normals with friends all the time and do not care what they build.

This actully happened to me yesterday this guy said something along the lines of if this pillow damage trist pings me one more time im gonna tilt. And you know what i said after that I said okay im srry just trying to let you know. i wasnt spamming pings or anything and he turned the whole team against me. I'm 100% my report was an automated thing. So don't act like your holier then thou. At the end of the day it is a word and we have more problems in the world then people policing league of legends.

Yes it is normal procedure for someone to break the rules, get punished, and then deny any responsibility. Quite normal. You said the gay F word... that's considered hate speech here. Now you know. Move on.
