Banned for Using Third Party Software

I have noticed a lot of other people have been getting this, as well as a couple of my own friends. I received a perma ban for apparently exploiting the game, although all I have ever used is Curse Voice with the people that I play with. Is this the result of some new ban detection system that Riot is trying out or are they just trolling.... Like 3 of my friends got their accs banned today for "scripting, 3rd party software or exploits", most of them are like bronze 5 and their match history would not entertain the idea of scripting. I fear that if I submit a ticket I'm going to get a generic automated response, as well as the fact that Riot probably won't disclose the "evidence" of me cheating because it's against their security policy or something... help a fellow nerd out :)

Hey OP --

I took a look at your account and the detection in this case was for actions that happened when your account was compromised awhile back. >_< I've gone ahead and removed the suspension from the account as you've already been through account recovery.

if they bought the accounts (not saying they did), and the person before had used anything, the accounts would get ban from that. also, errors do happen and they can send in a support ticket. i don't know the details so i can't really say more than that.

riot doesn't give the information on what you used, but they will check to see if it's right most of the time if you are sure.

viruses can also cause problems sometimes, so that could also be the issue, i really don't know the details like i said so these are guesses at what it could be.

The exact same thing has happened on my account. My email linked to my league account was compromised while I was working on a big project for my schools Theater department. I come back and see my league account is permabanned without a second thought for exploiting/scripting. It is extremely clear if you look at my match history I do not cheat. I have decently bad win rates and bad scores which a cheater would not have. I have also spent over 1,800 dollars on my account and supported the game ever since the middle of season 2. After the ban I have sent Riot at least 7 support tickets and they tell me the same thing that they have "Decisive Evidence" that I have cheated. For supporting this game for so long and never receiving a warning or ban EVER on my account I feel this is extremely unjustified. I was not even home for the entire week I was banned. I want an actual person to look over my banning and explain to me what justified this ban. Please rito assist a lowly silver player who just wants his main back. :)

Have you had any luck with riot support? I'm currently waiting to be transferred to a "Player Behavior Specialist". It's really annoying because on my account all I needed was 8 more champs, and only a handful of runes, not to mention the ~100 skins(including some rare ones) I have.

Best of luck to everyone who got hit with an unfair ban and is waiting for riot to help.

When I wrote a support ticket, I didn't get automated responses. Granted, they didn't help any, but that's a whole different problem.

Our system has accurate evidence that your account was in violation of our Terms of Use due to the usage of scripts, hacks, exploits or unauthorized third-party programs in the game. After I double checked your account, it doesn't look like this was a mistake.

For security purposes on our investigative methods, I will not be sharing more detailed evidence or specific details. We will not be lifting the ban on this account under any circumstances.

Yeah same happened to me and im attempting to find out more information via the support system but keep getting the run around they do seem friendly though. Ive spent alot of money and time on league to have it taken away for nothing and i dont play for ranked im only silver v last season, i just think its not right. Ill update you if i get any more info

i read the link on "Tips for Account Security" the only thing i can check off is that i dont have an anti virus. does that mean im gonna get banned repeatedly? That is basically telling me i should just quit the game unless i download one.
