I just got a friend request from some random person this morning. Shortly later, they claimed to be someone I recently played a game with and they were "boosting" someone. They also stated that they would love to help "boost" me because it's super cheap right now and they sent me a link. I immediately responded with "I haven't played a game in about a week, so that's a joke. Secondly, I will be posting this event in the forums and hope that a admin/moderator reads it and hunts more people like you down. Good luck being IP pinged and perma-banned."

Now, beyond all of that, as soon as I sent that, the message was immediately erased and I don't have any friends on my friendlist that I don't recognize. So they obviously removed me, as soon as I responded with that. lol

But, if any staff do read this, what's to be done about situations like this?

seems like the best option is to block the player and send a support ticket in. the word from the bird is that riot will let you privately name and shame your opposition.

there are a lot of bot accounts that do this. they add you, tell you that they were boosting someone, and say that boosting is cheap at the moment. after sending this message they will immediately remove you. from my experience most of these accounts are not above level 10.
