got a 5 minute delay for past afk although there has only been one in recent history. which conveniently was the same time i got a penalty. the reason? my 2 month year old son was burned. so I had other responsibilities. You have gotten to the point where you just pass judgement without even trying to listen to the problem. non of my teammates had a problem with it. I came back within 5 minutes. I just needed to check that my son was okay and safe. which he was (and not alone either, he was with my sister who wanted to watch him) so I came back. Get off your high horse please.

It is impractical if not impossible to verify the reason someone left a game. Because of that everyone is given some slack for whatever issues they may have, you have just used it up. You did not get punished for that one game, you got punished because you leave games at a rate that is unacceptable.

Actually he's right. Leaverbuster has built-in leniency for emergencies such as the one that you mentioned in the OP. However, the more that you leave or afk (for any reason whatsoever) the more that you use that leniency up until the point where you have nothing left of it. At that point Leaverbuster will slap you with a penalty for leaving/afking the game. Emergencies do happen, but it's your responsibility to make sure that those emergencies happen as little as possible before you start queuing up for a game. If not and you get hit by LB, then the fault lies with you and you alone. From Ulanopo's Knowledge Base:

I only left one game and it was for a good reason. I shouldnt have been banned.

Two quick things: [1] No one in this forum can help you with a LeaverBuster ban. Thats a separate system and we have no oversight or control over it. [2] A LeaverBuster ban occurs because you have accumulated a large number of leaves and/or AFK time. It is your responsibility to fix your **** before it reaches that level.

That established, there is NO good reason to leave a match. The system is tuned so that you can leave if you have to, but only on an infrequent basis. Its all the leaves and AFKs before the one that triggered LeaverBuster that led to your ban. Its like using up all your sick leave to go to the beach, then complaining that you dont have any PTO when you fall ill. YOU chose to use up your leeway with the system.

I'd also highly recommend reading up on the official Leaverbuster FAQ for future reference.

So basically what I'm hearing is that you have a "well I'm right and you're wrong and so because of that it's my way or the highway" kind of attitude. Keep that up and you'll get banned from the forums. Also if you actually read my post then you'd know that Riot understands the need to leave in emergencies but that it's still your responsibility to make sure that those emergencies happen as little as possible.

That's why LeaverBuster is the way it is, to punish players who like to leave games frequently. It is also possible to slowly but surely build back up leniency over time by not leaving games and just playing them straight through to the end. Everyone understands that emergencies happen but you don't have to be a 'mindless drone" to get that you can't just keep using the "but it was an emergency" excuse to try to justify every single leave that you make.

We're here to try to help you, but we won't put up with someone who is only interested in hearing Yesman answers from people. If you want to avoid getting hit by LeaverBuster then you should avoid leaving games as much as possible, or at the very least just play custom games with and against bots since Leaverbuster doesn't track Custom games for leaves.

I will admit that I sometimes write more than I intend, but here's the jist of it.

Emergencies happen, which is why there's built-in leniency with Leaverbuster. Every time you leave for any reason, part of that leniency goes away. If you leave enough times, you'll eventually use up all of that leniency to the point where you get banned once you leave again. To build it back up, simply just play out games without leaving. However, it is still your responsibility to make sure as few emergencies appear as possible before playing, You also can't use the "but it was an emergency" excuse to try to justify every leave that you make either as it won't work.

That's the tl;dr so now you have two choices.

1: Listen to the advice given to you and try to work on avoiding leaving for any reason in the future if at all possible.

2: Keep acting like the rules don't apply to you and eventually get banned from the game for constantly leaving games.

The choice is up for you and you alone to decide.

If you're confused about why you got banned for one leave then you need to file a Support Ticket asking calmly and respectfully why this happened. That's your best bet to get this all sorted out.

I did not use a preposterous excuse like your pitiful arguments. a bottle being heated too long is a very common issue. my sister is young and did not think to check the temp before feeding him. but, you clearly have no children. May I add, God forbid you ever reproduce.

Just saw this. LOL, I am not sure if I should even respond. but, baited. are you dumb? did i say the bottle caught fire?? you cant possibly be that stupid. the bottle my sister prepared was extremely hot. try googling "Should i microwave formula to warm it up?" or, use your brain.. thanks

really sry to hear that, hope he didn`t get a scar, that can stick with him for life:/.

but to get back to your case, you know you have left games befor else wouldn`t the "recent history" be important.

you then go on to complain about how a game there was ment for entertainment dont change the world (u wot m8?).

riot support dont listen to the problem ( your son was burned and you had to go check on him, fair enough, the problem is the system dont punish players for one leave, this meen you have left the game multible times befor this even happen.)

good to know your son is okay tho.

He is fine thanks, It is just frustrating because I don't quit games. I play things through, you don't get better by only winning. The only games I have left was from technical issues. for example my wife resetting the router because netflix isn't fast enough. I always come back and It is just annoying. I ranted on the world bit, just upset that they just have a b.s. system in place to ban me for stupid things.

think i might know how to fix the problem with your wifes netflix.

right click the internet icon on your bottom right and click "open network and sharing center"
click "change adapter settings"
right click on the internet your useing and click "properties"
click "configure"
pick the "advance" tab and scroll down to you see "speed and duplex"
it will as standart be on "auto negotiation" insted change it to "100 mbps full dublex" on both yours and your wifes pc.
